Purdue 83 Nebraska 72

Yes, they played quite well today with just a few bad lapses. It helps a while lot that they are shootingvery well from the outside. Woltman played very well today. AppEared much more intense Hopefully, we ill continue to improve

It was another very entertaining game. Kayana Traylor is really emerging as a star. She backed up her 28 point 5 assist game with 21 points and 7 assists today.

And how about Fatou Diagne with 9 points and 17 rebounds. Who would have predicted that a season or two ago? Great job by this young lady and her coaches for her development.

Welcome back Karissa McLaughlin with 13 points in about 13 minutes.

The Purdue bench out scored the Nebraska bench 32-0. Can't ask for much more than that. Just about everyone contributed again.

Only 12 turnovers today, another big improvement.

Now with 12 days off and plenty of time to practice. I like a lot of the things I see from this team. Will they win the Big Ten? Most likely not....but the future looks a lot brighter than some of the doom & gloom people would have you believe.

Pretty deep team, looks like 9-10 girls can contribute.

So true about Diagne. When she first came here I thought she would never develop into much but I was very wrong. And Rickie Woltman looked the best I have ever seen her. Hopefully it portends good things to come. And yes, I am thrilled by McLaughln's rapid progress.

Assist to TO ration was still only 1.3 but at least not disastrous like some of our past games. But in looking at the box score, I am amazed Nebraska had ZERO second chance points (to our 13) despite having 10 more points in the paint than our team. And even though they had height and Cain has really been a thorn in our side before, we out rebounded them 40 to 30.

But they were a very short-handed team playing only 7 and they got ZERO points from players who did not start (compared to an amazing 32 bench points for the Boilers.) So I will try to contain my optimism.
