What are the chances that Dakich mentions Bates-Diop again? I actually really like his commentary. I think he said he was the player of the year like 8 times this game. How is our guy Vince the all around best player and not the player of the year?

I actually heard Dakich mentioning his name as the best player in the country again!
Bates-diop is having a great year...probably a surprise to many that wasn't aware of him and missing a lot of last year. He was the higher and better recruit coming out of high school, but Vince has had a much better career in college. Two years ago he wasn't logging many minutes (not sure he was a sterter before this year)and of course last year with his injury only left him hungry this year. OSU comes to Mackey and if Purdue...and specifically Vince has a huge game and Diop doesn't..what would be the criteria for Player of the year? higher per game scoring average when Vince plays on a team where alomst 5 players are in double digits...and if Purdue wins teh Big? If it were not just this year...hands down..Vince has had the better career...or at least what I can remember...
