At my wife's extremely large corporation in S. indiana they decorated the place to the max over the weekend. Then in Monday, lots of complaints.....a few of them from her coworkers...
1. They did not decorate for other things like Memorial Day.
2. No problem with gay people, but tired of getting over ran by loud small minority when it is a non issue.
3. Just creates an atmosphere of tension.
4. Meaningless issue, not important to work environment.
5. No one celebrates me. Why all this?
RESULT: Company took down all of the signs except one table in cafe and a small sign. Then two days later, a worker decided she was not being heard, and brought a box in at break and took all the rest of the signs down. People cheered her.
Maybe people tire of all this to-do over a non issue?
