I take the Louisville Courier-Journal and they listed their first team all-state offense and defense today. Says LB Derrick Barnes (6'3", 235) of Covington Holy Cross is committed to Toledo but is now considering offer from Purdue.

Narrative says he rarely left the field and led team in tackles (126 total, 96 solo) and rushing (150 carries, 1,567 yds, 22 TDs).

Another interesting first-teamer is OL Woodford (Woody!) Lankford, 6'4", 275 of Lexington Catholic. Didn't make honorable mention as a junior and leaped to first team all-state as a senior. Committed to Western Kaintuck.

sounds good, looked on Toledo's site and he is not listed.

It shows him listed as a two star with his only offer being Toledo. If he can play, then none of that matters. LB is a position of need and it looks like he has decent size already. If he can outplay his ranking, pick him up. Purdue offers a chance to play in the big ten with a chance at big minutes quickly. Now is the perfect time to sign players. We have a lot of playing time to sell.
