Politifact on lying candidates

"At one point in the now-viral exchange, Scott responded to the barrage of criticism by customer Cara Jennings with what appears to be an estimate of the jobs created on his watch.

"We got a million jobs," Scott said."

"We"

Jennings: “A–hole. You don’t care about working people. You should be ashamed to show your face around here. …”

Scott: "We got a million jobs, a million jobs.”

This was about all he could get in amongst her screaming. The premise was "Scott doesn't care about working people". He says "We got a millions jobs".

What he said was true. He doesn't need a lawyer's disclaimer saying "factor out global economy, factor in global warming, factor out fictitious oil spill scare that decimated the West coast, factor in the cost of oil, factor in Democrats in the White House. He did not say "we created a million jobs". He did not say "my administration created a million jobs". He said "we got a million jobs" and that is entirely true. During tenor, Florida got a million jobs.

Had you asked him "did your administration create a million jobs?" He is from the private sector, so he knows that primarily it is business men and women who are creating the jobs. He knows that it is his role to facilitate this process by creating conditions where business will succeed.

lol that's one way to look at it I suppose.

I would say that most people would view it that way, except for hard-core lefties such as yourself and a newspaper editorial board such as politifact. But that is my biased opinion. I think we can stop this thread.
