Plummer

Sindelar reverted back to his previous self.He has had enough time to change but Plummer is probably not ready so Brohm will have to start him next week. His interview sounded like he does not understand the seriousness of his mistakes.

Sindelar is just not a competitive guy. From the quotes of not feeling the pressure now that Blough is gone, saying he wont need a 6th year because he will be playing on Sundays next year, to his poor decision making when the game is on the line.

Then to go out after the game and applaud his performance and not take any responsibility for his mistakes, just completely tone deaf. He was acting like they won the game.

This kid started the opener for the past three years and the exact same results. So frustrating.

He plays cocky...but that's kind of how our coaching staff is too.

Well my take is something
And the rest of our team?
Was going by how the last part of game went. Kind of wondering also about the defense , rush 3, no one within 15 yards of scrimmage line, let QB run for first down or finally find an open receiver

I really don’t blame the D. Down their best player, and they would get off the field and the special teams or O would put them right back on. They eventually wore out.

This is a pretty solid take. Not many defenses would be successful having to basically play a full quarter of consecutive football.

Our D is improved but not good enough to have to get teams off the field twice in a drive.

well you never know , some may get their wish if Sindelar doesn't come thru the next game or two.

I think this says it all.

  • Mental effects most noticeable at very high and extreme altitudes include decreased perception, memory, judgment, and attention.
Clearly affected the players and coaches. Unnecessary and disappointing loss. We need a win Saturday to give these young players some confidence.

I thought Plummer was supposed to see a series or two just for experience.

I don't understand the animosity toward Sindelar. He had one really bad throw. The first INT was at least as much the receiver's fault as it was the QB, and it led to 0 points. Sindelar's 2 INTs led to 3 points total. He looked like one of the top QBs in the nation up until the last throw.

If the coach hadn't "iced" the kicker, giving him time to collect himself before the attempt, he never would have made a 56 yarder to win it.

They had 17 points off the two botched punt returns and the fumble on the sideline.

Moore's fumbled punt was a terrible decision. The ball was at about the 10 when he tried to pick it up. I really question why he did that. It looked to me like he was concerned about statistics, because you just don't attempt that up 17 points late in the third quarter.

The defense allowed a 90+ yard drive for the tie. How about some blame being pinned to those guys as well?

There were at least two drops in the 2nd Half that would have been first downs, and ran some time off the clock, meaning Nevada would have run out of time.

Who the heck makes out your schedule? Why is Purdue playing at Nevada, Vanderbilt and TCU at home in the non-conference. You guys should have three breathers in the non-conference like virtually everyone else.

You win as a team and you lose as a team. Pointing fingers does no one any good.

I can see you're new around here.

Stick around.... the geniuses on this forum are equal opportunity offenders.

Our biggest problem is few if any QUALITY BIG UGLIES on the OL until this problem is fixed(the same on defense) we are a 6-6/7-5 team.

He doesnt make reads and leaves wide open players. That's a huge red flag for someone on his 5th year. He has blown every 1st game for the past 3 years with 2 or more int.

I want to see the snap counts. For all the talk of rotations and depth on the line, it seemed like I was seeing the same numbers for most of the game. I think maybe the coaches were going for the jugular with the starters. Unfortunately due to turnovers they couldn’t outdistance fatigue and put the game out reach and then the starters were needed in the fourth quarter and were gassed.
The 5 starting lineman played all 82 snaps

He did not "blow" that game anymore than the other issues I mentioned did. I totally understand your frustration. I'm only following Purdue because of Sindelar, and I'm still pissed they lost 5 days later. I'm a UK grad from far western Kentucky, and Sindelar is the best QB to ever come from that part of Kentucky.

Anyway, best of luck the rest of the season. I hope they don't let Nevada beat them twice, because Vandy is a decent team. Purdue will win if they play like they did against Nevada and clean up the TOs. TCU will be a war too. You guys need to reevaluate your scheduling philosophy.
