Ask yourself, what is the purpose of a college or university! Calipari will say it is to get you the experience and knowledge required to get a job. The purpose of a college is not to stay in college as long as you can to avoid the real world.

If a player is ready for the real world, then why not wish them the best? Why try to hold them back? What is the reason other than your selfish desire for them to deliver you a championship? Have you given any consideration to what their desires may be?

Who’s holding who back? I’d you don’t want Edey to come back you are lying to yourself. We will all be happy and grateful for 4 productive years from Edey and he will move on as a boilermaker forever. Last year he said his desires was money and he saw the could make more money playing at Purdue and did. He’s now ready to move on and no one will hold that against him.

How about an Indiana State or Loyola for Morton? Both good programs where he probably could play 25-30 minutes a night. Gillis will have a ton of options, one never knows, it could be in West LAF if two players leave, it happens at every school.
