PJ's redemption

Sorry if there's already a thread on this.

Those free throws were pure money. Way to go PJ!

Definitely made some clutch baskets tonight. Unfortunately, I had wondered why people wouldn't put Dakota in there for clutch free throws and he screwed up!

I'll be quiet this week.

No worries. Dakota is an 80% foul shooter. I'd put him back on the line in a heartbeat.

Its funny this came up in a thread earlier before the game. I actually like Dakota shooting 3's at the end of the half or end of the game more than I do having him at the free throw line late. But he played a great game no matter what. Great rebound by Biggie on the miss to save us! PJ with the two game saving free throws, how awesome!

PJ has been redeeming himself all year. He has been solid at breaking the press and other than Vermont he has almost always been clutch. PJ has had a solid year. My only complaint is today he drove to the basket and jumped in the air before he knew what he was going to do a couple times.

PJ missed two late versus Michigan, and missed two late versus Vermont. It was all karma balancing itself for the huge three and the two FTs to ice the win vs ISU. Basketball gods be crazy.

Against UM, he missed the front end of a 1-and-1. His misses against UM and Vermont may have been karma for the game-changing shots he has made in his career here. But he found that it was really due to poor mechanics on his shot. He figured it out and fixed it. Now that he got it out of the way, he's back on track to win games.
