Got up to 27 at one point Lenny.....wasn't nearly as close as the final score. We missed you, haha.

Looks like #4-seed Purdue women's volleyball team swept Western Michigan in an otherwise tight match and now faces upset-winner Loyola Chicago, who knocked off BYU. Go Lady Boilers!

We're a vball family, so we watch of a lot of college vball in my house. The Boilers should get to the S16 without much of a problem. Upsets at this level are not common since it's a 5 game match and the talent/size usually rises above.
If you don't watch college vball, you should. These women are strong, powerful athletes and fun to watch.

Watching my team get smoked doesn't do me any good mentally, so I just avoid it. (OK, I'll check the score periodically just to see if there's any comeback). I didn't watch a single play of the Bucket game.

Wow! Purdue is 99-21 (46-15 B1G) over the past four seasons. What does Painter have to do to be not embarrassing, win every game?

I think a lot of it is just life on the road in the B1G is always a meat grinder. Purdue has been everybody's chance at a marquee win in recent years.

Maybe instead of focusing on Purdue being 1-5 in B1G road openers since 2019 (Purdue actually won in OT @Nebraska in 2022), we should acknowledge that Purdue is also 30-25 in all subsequent B1G road games over that span. I would be surprised if anyone in the B1G has done better than that in recent years.

In a league where almost nobody wins consistently on the road, Purdue has shown the ability to adjust.

Update on women's volleyball - Lady Boilers advanced with a 3-set sweep of Loyola Chicago (20, 21, 12) - and will face winner of #1-seed Louisville/#8-seed University of Northern Iowa in round of 16.

I turned it off halfway through the 2nd half. it's not worth letting me get in a down place from my disappointment in a team sport event.

Further schedule update on Purdue Women's Volleyball - Round of 16 against top-seed Louisville, who is host for the Regionals in Freedom Hall - Second match on TH/December 12 - 30 minutes following the first match between #2 seed Stanford and #6-seed Florida. Televised on ESPN2.

Winner of this Regional doesn't have to travle too far - as the National Semi-Finals and Championship Match are also in Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center.
