I see it posted often that "Painter isn't a good recruiter".....and doesn't beat any good schools for the players he signs.

Vince - Michigan
Taylor - Maryland
Dakota - West Virginia
AJH - Illinois, IN, GA Tech, Cincy
Haas - Virginia, UCLA, FLA St
Basil - Illinois, IU, ND
Bryson - IU
KS - Illinois, Wisconsin
Ray Davis - top 100 player....but committed before other offers came his way
Octeus - Lucky Break for Painter....but his connections are what made it a possibility
Now Painter is not an elite recruiter.....completely agree with that. But the list above would seem to indicate 9 players had other legitimate offers....and a 10th was a top 100 player.
