Painter says Ray back on the court sometime this week

Agree. The 3 dead week games will give him an opportunity to knock off whatever rust he might have built up over the past week. Hoping he can play in the last 2 games. I think he'll be a key player against Butler. Probably will draw the Dunham assignment.

yeah...he will have dunham

Who will have Jones? I think Ray should guard Jones and let Dunham try to shoot over Vince's length. I know that probably won't happen but its fun to think of some strategy.

I suspect it will be the opposite, but that is just me. Davis is best on off the ball defense and that says Dunham as they screen for him and he works without the ball. However, Dakota and Kendall and Cline could see some time on him. Jones scores inside and dribbling. I'm just amazed that Jones doesn't have many smacked away. I expect Swanigan to have Jones to keep Biggie closer to the boards and Chrabascz to be defended by Vince since he floats out some, but they can certainly switch if Jones was more of a threat out, but I don't see that being his game. I see Haas and AJ having Wideman and obviously Thompson and Hill to have Lewis or his sub. Different subs and different people working for Purdue and obviously the people could change.

Purdue switches a lot and so after a screen and such it could all change. However, I think it is safe to say that Dunham works well without the ball and is primarily a perimeter player. I think it is also safe to say that Jones scores inside and usually dribbles the ball. It will be interesting to see how the reaching in is called in this game. Butler passes well, but I just don't see how they can defend the inside of Purdue if called a little tight

I fell off my porch today whilst hanging Christmas decorations.

"Popped" my knee as i stepped off the porch unaware & awkwardly (bout a 4 ft drop), then fell and rolled into the grass.

Then at Kroger I was hustling back to get some Spanish Peanuts (after I already started self-checkout), and I had to pull up bc of the pain and frailty I felt.

Anyway, I think I might be on light knee duty until at least NYE. I'm limping like a little b*#ch.

I feel your pain, Ray.

Spanish peanuts just came in. Are you making some peanut brittle?

I hope he doesn't play where he's scared to re-injury it. That's one thing I've had experience with being a baseball player and having two surgeries on my shoulder and two sprains on a knee and ankle. It's always in the back of your mind which hinders performance. Hopefully he is healed and past that stage and is 100% Ray because we all know what he bring to the table.

CMP mentioned something to that effect last week when RD was able to run but was struggling a little when cutting......and put it in those words......he wasn't ready to trust it yet. It would be great to have Ray out there, but I think CMP has had some luxury with the recent schedule in that there wasn't a need to rush him.....knowing that CMP is somewhat "conservative" on what he mentions on these types of issues....more positive talk suggests he's ready to go......and that at least CMP is confident Ray is trusting it fully if he's out there. Of course, the risk of re-injury is always there. I'm just looking forward to seeing Ray Davis out there again......he has been the most instrumental in bringing this TEAM together to this point.

Candidly, the defense isn't the same without him......it may be a blessing in disguise when it's all said and done.....you never know.

CMP said he could have played last night. They wanted him to get to where he was ready to play and then hold him out 1 more game. He has done that and is ready for Tomorrow. Will be glad to see him out there and I'm glad he is healthy again!
