Today marks the first time college coaches can meet with recruits off-campus since April. Coach Painter is headed to La Lumiere to see Jaren Jackson Jr. Also headed to La Lumiere are the head coaches for ND and Maryland. Michigan State is sending 3 assistant coaches since Izzo is being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Let's hope Painter can lock him up! Boiler up!

Hopefully Painter can get this one or one of the others to commit soon. This would be a great start though.

Wonder if I can catch any of them at the blackjack table at Four Winds afterwards.

I guess that is one nice thing about recruiting local guys. They are closer to travel too. Go get them coach.

Can Painter be more engaging and seemingly interesting to Jackson, Jr. than Brey or Turgeon? I know trust, comfort, and gut-feeling have a lot to do with a prospect's decision, but the sense of charisma in a head coach certainly can play a role as well to a prospect.

If Turgene is a more dynamic, engaging, charismatic recruiter than Brey, will Painter try to replace him in the living room line up like Keady would have done? Wait a minute, I think I'm mixing up my Nag threads again.

My cousin's neighbor's son is transferring from Ivy Tech with a year of eligibility left. He's not very big nor very fast but he's willing to fill a scholarship. I'm gonna stop supporting Painter if he can't
Real him in.

I think he's my wife's sister's ex-husbands step-son ...I know him well ... he'd be a great fit for us.

Tagged this player about 6 months ago. He has potential to be a top 25 kid. Great handles and shot.

I wish Painter luck with this class - thought to have the potential to be a special one for some time now.
