I noticed Notre Dame sent 4 players home from their bowl game. two were identified as shoplifters. One would think athletes would learn their lessons about shoplifting when on trips.

Some athletes believe they're above external authority. And in some cases, they're right. As noted with the UCLA situation, had that not been a high visibility situation in China, any other teenager would have had to deal with the legal consequences.

They'd "compete" with Ball State, Miami, Ohio U, Toledo, Bowling Green, et al. In football, might even make a bowl game. In basketball, might finish in the upper division.
