OT: Where'd you live at Purdue

I'll try...
85-86 Circle Pines Coop House (way too much beer created 5th year)
86-87 Circle Pines Coop House
87-88 Townhouse on Salisbury
88-89 Apartment on Northwestern directly across from School of Technology
89-90 Back to Circle Pines
I was at Circle Pines from 1977-81 when it was on South Grant Street. Was a great place to experience College life. Football and Basketball teams were both good during my years there.

Cary 1 year, Wiley 1 year, Shreeve 2 years, maybe I should put the Co-rec and golf course down too.

It was a very good experience for me. Had some great friends, fantastic memories, and some solid guidance in that house. For some reason I have not been interested in the new house but I am thinking I should go check it out sometime.

I know today's food courts provide much better selections and overall availability that the previous system but I can't help but think some of the camaraderie developed in those "unit" dining rooms contributed to the way most of us feel about our dorm experiences.

I lived in Kneale House from 76-78. Knew Bedwell but not Dickensheets.
Dirt, Dennie Wiegle, Lane Curly Custer, Otis Reading,
Custer has been coordinating a couple reunions at football games the last few years. Not easy since the house does not exist anymore. Contact info is quite incomplete. Mostly guys from the 70's and early 80's.

'91 - McCutcheon
'92 - Shreve
'93 - Apartment in downtown Lafayette
'94 - Williamsburg on the Wabash
'95 - Franklin Park Apartments (on Neil Armstrong Drive)

To SiBoiler2 (or anyone for that matter) - have not visited Tarkington at all since 1969. I was a waiter for all three of my years there and for the year I lived on Rose St. and the experience was rewarding. Have "food courts" replaced dining areas in the dorms or are there still students working in the kitchens - if, indeed, there are kitchens in the dorms?

I ate all my meals in the Wiley Dining hall for the most part. Would go get "make your own pizza" at Meredith (I think that was the one) and sometimes go to Hillenbrand for a more fast food type meal (it was a new dorm at the time and seemed fancy for a young 19 year old me). That was mid-90's. Pretty sure Wiley's and others' dining has gone by the way of a stand alone building, but I haven't gone looking for a dining hall at Purdue since I left. Someone on here surely knows more about it than I do.

95-96; Tarkington - Pledged Pikes - D-Pledged

I used to walk down to the dining hall at Tark for breakfast in my PJs and slippers. Poor kids can't do that anymore.

Loved the food at Cary Quad in 85'. My best friend and I still laugh about how much ice cream we ate! The scales sure showed it too!!

This has been a great thread. I have loved reading about all the great times people had at PU. Thanks for starting it Punaj!!

Neat thread for us old folks. I lived in Wiley Hall from 81-85. Was on SE 1 floor the whole time. Father was a Purdue graduate and Greek participant. After all the stories he shared, I chose to be a GDI. That lasted only 1 generation. My youngest son who is a Senior at Purdue is a Delt. LOL.

Owen Hall SE-1 - 81-85 - Jim Everett and Everette Stephens were also on our floor for one year each.
Had a great group that stayed together 3-4 years.
Also appreciated the convenience and friendships developed by having the cafeteria in the dorm - I also worked in food service so that worked out well too.
Boilerfan1 - I guess that means I am one of the old folks too ...

For grad school I was married and rented a house off campus.

Owen Hall (Dad first Owen Hall year 1) at Ross Ade. Sweet ride- Resident Hall Supervisor. Free outside In tuition, free room & board and $60 a month! Very cool. The 3rd generation has requested Owen. So cool.
