I went to the dinner they had for the team. They filled the gap pretty quickly with some very good players, one is a grad student that played at both ND and USC (finishing her grad work at Purdue). I don't know if they've come out stronger, but they did pick up some excellent experience and they still have one of the nations best coaches. Interesting to note, two of the nations top VB coaches retired this last year because they didn't want to put up with the BS the current portal/NIL/enumeration the system has become.Women's golf?
Edit: It sucks that we lost a title contender team in volleyball to the portal.
Great to hear, guys!I haven't followed the volleyball roster changes that closely, but it was my impression that between portal additions and HS recruiting, this team is still supposed to be nationally competitive. Maybe not FF good, but I think the expectation is still upper third of the B1G and S16 potential.
It's really perplexing to me how much overall Purdue sports has struggled recently outside of basketball, volleyball and track. Is it simply a lack of money, facilities?I haven't followed the volleyball roster changes that closely, but it was my impression that between portal additions and HS recruiting, this team is still supposed to be nationally competitive. Maybe not FF good, but I think the expectation is still upper third of the B1G and S16 potential.
I was thinking the same thing and was hoping it would just slip by, we'll see.....Oh shit, he brought up track.
Did something happen with track? LolI was thinking the same thing and was hoping it would just slip by, we'll see.....
Oh shit, he brought up track.
