Not sure why we would be cheering for MSU over Minnesota, especially if you don't respect Minnesota. If they are a fraud it will be proven out over the course of a season. The only reason one would be happy about that outcome this early in the season is if you think Minnesota is legit.

If you think Minnesota is a fraud that shouldn't matter by the end of the year.

Listen, I hate MSU more than most here but even I'm going to acknowledge that they are far more likely to be a contender for the Big Ten than Minnesota. I'd have preferred Minnesota won because I don't think Minnesota has the players to go 15-3 or 14-4 for the conference season. MSU has talent and a coach that will make that talent a better unit as the season progresses.

Not a huge deal. I doubt our conference title hopes come down to that one game. I'm just surprised that people are giving that much credit to Minnesota.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing watching that game. However, MSU was motivated after their loss in the Palestra to PSU.
