I was blacklisted by Jeff the IU fan on Peegs.

When I asked him what violation I had committed, he responded with this.

Not everyone is blacklisted for what they write on THIS Rivals sites. Get the picture?

Yeah, okay. This guy must drive a huge Corvette with loud pipes, if you get the picture.

But of course, they aren't scared at all.

Wow. So the mentally challenged there are reading other forums and banning people? Yeah that is a whole new level of obsession.

They don't handle the truth there very well so no real point going there to begin with. Arguing with those dim bulbs is like trying to explain physics to a tater tot.

Yep. Same reason I got. I hung out and traded shots with SNUfus for a few weeks after the format change. I hurt Courtbullshit's feelings apparentlyrics and he whined to Jeffy and I got the same old "you can't talk bad about IU on GBI and stay on here"

It's hilarious to see how much Courtsense hates Purdue and how bothered he is that his Hoosiers are playing second-fiddle to us. His Twitter feed is another place where he spews his disdain.

I'll just post this here so I won't start another IU thread. Anyone see Bryant's stat line tonight. Played 23 minutes while committing only 1 foul. Haha. In those 23 minutes he took 16 shots. He made 5 shots plus 2 free throws to finish with 12 points. He took and missed a 3. He also grabbed 11 boards. Does Ottowa have any size?

Yeah. I apologize for rhe IU thread.

I just thought it was cute how he is so confident in his team that he trolls other boards looking for people to blacklist.

He acted as if he took away my favorite pillow and that he was some tough guy with an all knowing and endless reaching authority because Pegram gave him the key to the asylum.

Pretty funny and yet very sad to see how far that program and site have fallen.

Yet another reason I do not miss living in Indiana. Far fewer toothless hill jacks down here in Nashville.

As for Bryant. There is a video of their first scrimmage on their board shared by resident looney Cheyenne. He picked up his first foul 2 minutes in and couldn't post up a 6'8" defender. Hammons and Haas will eat him alive. That is for the 8 minutes of the game that he isn't on the bench.

Not worried about him at all.

LOL! Look at the bright side. You don't post there any more, but they are still reading your posts! If they don't see how obsessive that is, then there is no hope for them.

Let me offer a little different perspective. We have recently been overrun with a couple MSU trolls who think that because their basketball program has had some success, they are now crowned THE BASKETBALL EXPERTS of the BIG. Their sacred duty is to make sure nobody else displays any optimism on their own boards, and to chastise anyone talking ill of Izzo-God.

As Purdue fans, let's not go down that path, regardless of how successful we are this year. I'd like to think we can approach our rivals with both confidence and humility. Our mommas taught us to be gracious winners.

However, I do think being banned from a rival’s board for what you post on your own board is a stretch.

man who cares. IUT and that guy suck ass. They call their own names and threaten to ban them. It's the only little bit of power they ever had in their sad, trailer park lives. Let them have it. That forum has the collective IQ of an earthworm on acid and there is never any good info on it. Just delusional mouth breathers who have never and will never leave the state of indiana.

I still don't understand why you guys go to Peegs in the first place. If you want to have a discussion about the two teams and don't have any intention of trolling, post on IU's 24/7 board. I'm and IU fan and don't even go to Peegs.

Obviously not a great stat line, but he recorded a double double in his first college game against the top ranked team from Canada. I've seen freshman bigs do a lot worse.

Perea's stat line of the first game last year - 9 pts, 12 rbs, 1 blk. He took 4 shots and played 21 minutes. Just sayin'. Top ranked team from Canada?

IU lost to this team last year 109-101. They have already played 9 games prior to IU as well.
It is on BTN at 1:00 I believe. Not sure any of that matters, they could be playing all new players for all I know.

And they are coming off a loss to mighty McGill.

I agree with mathboy... how much time on your hands do you have to visit another team's board?

We can't mock the MSU posters here for stirring up crap if a bunch of Purdue fans goto the IU board to do what I can only assume is to stir up crap.

In Canada. Had Ottawa shot anywhere near their normal three point percentage this would have been a very tight game.

Did you watch the game?

Not yet, I don't have BTN Plus so I recorded it today while I was at work. I'll watch it later tonight. I'm not going to get too excited or bent out of shape over a kid's first college game though.

No problem but to assume he was impressive based on stats might be deceiving. Let's just say I don't fear him against Hammons or Haas.

I wasn't trying to imply he was impressive, just pointing out that at least he didn't go out and lay an egg. I'm not one of the people that thinks he's the next Zeller as a freshman so my expectations are a little more tempered than some others. Having now seen the game, I was happy with what I saw. He has a long way to go but he showed a high motor and a lot of those misses were good shots that just went in and out. He didn't really seem to get discouraged and just kept at it. He was also double teamed every time he touched the ball and handled it pretty well. The biggest contribution to me was that IU was able to run the offense through him, which gives us a much more fluid offense than last year. I don't doubt that he'll get outplayed by Hammons but with 4 more months of experience prior to the game (I think it's in Feb.), I think he could do what we need him to do in that matchup. Assuming he can stay out of foul trouble of course.

I thought that he looked a little awkward out there, but he has tremendous length working in his favor. I think that IU will need him on the floor a lot this year, but that good teams will attack his body and get him in foul trouble.

He got caught out of place a couple times on defense and wasn't as fluid on offense as would be preferred, but I expect those kinds of things from freshmen. Some things just require game experience to transition from HS to college. I'm sure teams will go at him given our lack of depth in the post. I'm just hoping he understands the importance of verticality.

Down there our big guys will be in foul trouble. Our guards had better be shooting well.

I think the big thing is that neither Williams or Blackmon look like they have bought in on the defensive end. And Bryant is a work in progress. The good news is unless he makes some miraculous growth, he will be back for at least two years.

I wouldn't say I would be shocked, but Bryant is not a particularly good defender. He's not Vonleah or Zeller or even Perea. Much more of a plodder and his footwork needs a lot of work defensively.

Interesting stuff here. Especially the part about making the players write letters of apology...

I would say the writer is 100% correct. In fact, I think it's a little more serious than he intimated. He said if IU doesn't get into the tourney, Crean will be on the hot seat. I would say it's Sweet 16 at a minimum for most fans. We're starting 3 McDonalds AA's and one of the top projected back courts in the country. There's no excuse for poor performance with that kind of talent.

Obviously, off the court issues have been a problem as well. Most of us are sick and tired of seeing our team make national headlines for stupid BS. If Crean can't get a handle on that, his record on the court may not even matter.

IU fans keep saying one of the top backcourts in the country. What do you consider the number of the top in the country?
I see at least 3 in the B1G as good and probably better then IU. That doesn't count teams like Witcha State, Villanova, UNC, Kansas, or UK.

FYI, 3 in the B1G I see as better are Michigan, MSU and Maryland.

Oklahoma, Cal and Iowa State are right there as well.

So are you saying top 10? Because I have seen top 3 and I don't see it.

That's why I said projected. I believe it was CBS that had us at number 3. I'll have to see the other teams play obviously but on paper it's not that outlandish. I think Yogi is the best PG in the B1G. I can see why people would say Tremble but Yogi outplayed him in their match ups last year. Blackmon averaged around 16 points as a freshman and should be better. Not the jump I think a lot of people expected because of the injury but still a really good 2 guard. Johnson is solid. Zeisloft shot 45% from 3 last year. I consider Williams part of the backcourt as I see him as the wing in a 3 guard lineup. That's a lot of talent and experience in the backcourt.

Of course, that's all on the offensive end. The jury is still out of this year's defense. They played much more aggressively against Ottawa than they did at any point last year which was promising. Johnson in particular.

We'll just have to disagree about the B1G back courts. All of those teams have talent but I think IU will have the highest offensive output. Our offense was somewhere around 10th in the nation on a guard-centric team last year and I'm expecting it to go up.
