In addition to the Cincy UConn game, the Big XII tournament had another wild finish. WVU blew a double-digit lead late to Oklahoma....then re-took the lead, and Oklahoma appeared to steal the victory on a half-court shot from Hield. The officials got it right....just a fraction late...wow.

Then there was this over-the-top call from Brent Musberger during the Kansas/Baylor game:

Regardless of what happens with the Boilers, it's going to be an interesting next few weeks.

Musbergers call definitely got weird.
They need to have him and dickie v just hang it up.

UConn -cincy was just insanity
I'm not a huge fan of conf tourneys still, but no denying they can produce epic games

Yeah....although I've never been a huge fan of Brent Musberger, I will give him his due that he has forged a place over many many years with CBS and ESPN......did NBA, college football, college basketball, golf tennis, and studio host. I think, however, like some others, they become like caricatures of themselves.....Vitale is another example. Over the years, the two to me that remained remarkably consistent (while still maintaining their own broadcasting identity without ending up over-the-top) were Keith Jackson and Pat Summerall (although I think PS' alcohol issues did affect him toward the end, sadly).

Even if it is sort of caricature after all of their years of doing play-by-play or color for college basketball, guys like Musberger, Vitale, and Bill Raftery still add to the excitement of watching good games for me. I do wish Vitale would not go so far off-topic during dead-ball or free-throw situations but overall I still think he's good for college basketball.

Gus Johnson -
Now that I think about it, I haven't heard him do a game on fox/btn for awhile?
He still there?

I wish more announcers remained in specific sports. They had him doing college football, even soccer, and it just seemed weird.
Guys like that just seem to work best for the one sport they became popular in.

Verne Lundquist is another, he just seems best suited for college football.

Verne, in his day, was really good in NFL games and golf as well......of course he was also fortunate to have two of the more iconic calls in Masters history......Nicklaus' (yes Sir! birdie putt on 17 in '86) and Woods' unbeliveable birdie chip on 16 in 2005.

And who can forget "Keaton" Moore!
