For those of you traveling over the holiday, safe travels. Among many things, I am thankful that we have the opportunity to share various discussions and some humor while following the Boilers, regardless of our backgrounds or affiliations. So in short......

To my fellow posters and our forum guests, I wish you and your families a very Happy and Joyous Thanksgiving Holiday. For those of you in the military, thank you for your service.

Well, well said my friend. Personally, it has been a year to forget, but I am thankful for many other things in life. There are so many less fortunate people who, sadly, will not have a "Happy" Thanksgiving....or Christmas for that matter. These are the homeless, those in nursing homes, the forgotten, etc. Real people who certainly deserve better. So when raising that glass at the "toast" tomorrow, or swigging that beer, remember that you can always find something to be thankful for. Happy Turkey Day fellow Boilers!!!!!!

Same to you Tex. Have a great holiday. I plan on eating and drinking to excess! It's a given.

To all: Have a safe and peaceful holiday.

All of us have something to be thankful for this year. We're Boilers and not Loosiers! May you all have a great time with friends and family.

I am grateful

- for having two healthy kids who seemed to have combined the best traits from their parents

- for my parents who gave me the best that they could

- to be alive and healthy despite the crazy risks that I've taken in the past

- for having so many loyal friends who keep me honest

- for my cool and supportive brothers and sister

- to all the women who have loved me, and the ones who are loving me now

- to have achieved my childhood dream of visiting every continent

- to have been lucky with my investments, and to be lucky with the divorce settlement (guess ex-wife deserves a thanks for not taking me to the cleaners)

- for all the great literature, music, and art, that have enriched my life, and will continue to enrich my life

- to be born in a rich country where I'm not hamstrung by extreme poverty, religious insanity and a lack of opportunity

- for the Purdue basketball team to be poised for a multi-year special run at the exact phase in my life when I have the luxury of time to follow and appreciate its achievements

- to all you guys out there in the only online forum I spend time on
