I’ll take us and the points. Not too terrible
I think Purdue will have a fighting chance. But, I think Purdue will have to come up with a few big plays. I don't think our guys can line up and win the line of scrimage consistently against OSU.
Why?
So 18 then by your standards....not 22If this were in Columbus it would be roughly 22. Home field is generally valued at 4 points in college.
No, he's being consistent.So 18 then by your standards....not 22
Possibly but that isn’t what his post stated. I get the rationale thoughNo, he's being consistent.
14 at home
+4 = 18 at a neutral site
+4 = 22 at Ohio State.
Fair question. Actually, "win the line of scrimmage" probably wasn't the best way to put it. What I should have said is that I don't think Purdue will win the majority of the plays. And I don't mean that as a knock on Purdue. Ohio State is a phenomenally talented team. I just think Purdue is going to have to come up with a few game changing plays in order to win.
Yeah, I don’t know if 4 points is correct but he was implying an 18 point spread on a neutral field.Possibly but that isn’t what his post stated. I get the rationale though

It’s exactly what his post stated. How can one not assume the baseline as not being a neutral field, worth 0 points?
we have to win the turnover battle.I haven't ever played the betting game and don't really understand the whole 'point spread' thing to be honest. I get that OSU is favored and the larger the deficit, the more likely OSU is to win....but once it was pointed out, it does make total sense. I appreciate it being pointed out.

I should have tried to predict the score, but I don't think I would have ever expected to win by 29 points. The team that whipped Illinois showed up and we really took it to them! I had a good feeling about this game, but I still was super nervous until about 5 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter! This wasn't just an upset win where we got lucky; we really beat them and took it to them. Great job everyone! Thoughts and prayers for Tyler, happy you and all of us got to witness a win for the ages! Boiler Up!14 points seems a bit much for the point spread. I was thinking it would be closer to 10 points. I think if we play solid and win the turnover battle we have a good shot! We of course have to be ready to play aggressive or the 14 point spread won't be enough. If the Purdue team that played this past Saturday shows up, I like our chances.
