Open letter to Bobinski

Seems like a waste of time. If he needs more convincing beyond what we've seen on the field then a letter from me isn't going to sway him.

Google AI to the rescue-

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the current state of the Purdue University football program under the leadership of Head Coach Ryan Walters. While we understand that coaching transitions can be challenging, we believe that a change in leadership is necessary for the program to achieve its full potential.

Specifically, we are concerned with:

  • The team's dismal 1-9 overall record and 0-7 record in the Big Ten conference. This marks a significant decline from recent years and places Purdue near the bottom of the conference standings.
  • The team's inability to compete with ranked opponents. Losses to #18 Notre Dame, #23 Illinois, #2 Ohio State, #2 Oregon, and #4 Penn State, often by large margins, demonstrate a lack of preparedness and competitiveness at the highest level.
  • The concerning trend of increasingly lopsided defeats. The losses to Ohio State (0-45) and Penn State (10-49) are particularly troubling and indicative of a team struggling to perform fundamentally.

We believe that these issues, along with the general lack of progress displayed throughout the season, point to a need for a new direction and fresh perspective within the football program.

We recognize the dedication and effort that Coach Walters has invested in the program. However, we believe that a change in leadership is necessary to revitalize the team and inspire renewed enthusiasm among players, alumni, and fans.

We urge you to consider our request and take the necessary steps to identify a new head coach who can elevate the program to the level of success we believe is possible.

Sincerely,

My letter would be if walters isn't let go of in this season it will be you looking for a new job. There is 0 absolutely no logical reason to keep walters.

If you think getting a new oc is going to change purdue lol I mean really. Changing coordinators and position coaches after year 2 1 and 11 season with more blowouts than close games. Idk what to tell you. It's like crapping your pants and changing your shirt. It not going to solve the looming smell around you.

Maybe bobinski doesn't see the point in having an interim coach for a few weeks?

But if Ryan is still there next season might as well give him a 4th so we can find bobo's replacement Ala Morgan Burke and Hazell 4th year.

Unlike most here I don't fully blame Bobo. I'm sure he tried but that late in the coaching cycle it was either deep retreads or coordinators. I'd probably go for an oc and a more experienced one at that lol, but who knows who we formally interviewed and offered. Maybe walters was plan D.

But keeping him after this season is just an unforced error. He may be the worst hc in recent big ten history. Like def competing with lovie Smith that's for sure.

I wrote to him saturday morn after the friday night Quack Attack
Unfortunately, I highly doubt he reads or even receives any emails/letters from fans regarding the football head coach. Mostly likely he's got an admin assistant filtering through and trashing them, or sending an auto reply written by AI. I honestly believe from everything he, Walters, etc. have stated that Walters will be back next year sadly.

actually before the Brohm hire, I wrote him a nice letter stating I'm his age and watching college football a long time. I also said I know you are probably going to use a head hunter for a new coach but I said from my point of view that Brohm would be my choice due to his offensive style , nice record at WKU, that would make it an enjoyable product to watch even in the event of a loss. It would also put people in the seats. Well the next day he emailed me back a 2 paragraph long letter and it was really nice.

I met him once at a Purdue function. Nice guy. Even though he’s a domer at heart.

Is our performance this year really any different than the Hazell years? Maybe Brohm was an aberration from the norm. And Brohm could see the future that we were headed back to the norm. I have to ask, is there any coach out there that actually wants this job that could actually do any better? DOUBTFUL!!!!

It's the coach, not the job. if it weren't the coach, schools like FSU, ND, and Tex would never struggle.
