Only a matter of time until the snowflakes...

No . . . until you brought it up it never crossed my mind. Couldn't care less.

Clearly, it matters to you what others think. That's not good.

it doesn't matter to me, but it should be an indicator to you that you might want to rephrase your comments. I look at the likes as sort of a feedback, much like on ebay. . I tend to buy items from ebay dealers with a lot of likes verses those with none. if an individual has 0 or very few likes, I tend to believe there is something wrong with the individual. Without likes, your posts could lead you to being ignored as a troll.

If I didn't get any likes, I might feel my posts were offensive to others. or maybe that my posts were not read or warranted. it doesn't matter to me how many or few likes yo u receive, but I would think it would matter to you.

As a liberal, I try to help out my fellow Boilers. before I melt into water.

likes to me may mean they agree with what I said and it may mean they enjoyed what I said. Why they liked it, I'll never know..unless the thread continues and indicators are all around...

For the past 30 years, IMO almost all R & D Politicians have been corrupt. Last year, I saw a rising $20 trillion debt and the economy not moving for middle America and I felt we needed someone to create high paying jobs and make the borders secure.

In Texas, thank God for Hurricane Harvey. I was born in NY and I hear all the prejudice about Texas, but during this tragedy Texans have band together and are helping each other. Race, religion, sex or political opinion is secondary. This is what our country must do NOW! We must be for America first and continue to work together.

It is like Purdue basketball. I feel we need to go bigger and concentrate on D and rebounding, because we have enough scoring. Many posters want up tempo ball and small ball. They are wrong, but they still want Purdue to win. I just wish Matt would listen to me - lol.

Let's go Purdue and let's go America!

You don't get it. I don't care what feedback I get. I don't do ebay, nor do I do facebook.

What's more, truth can be offensive. The prior post was, frankly, idiotic. Yet, you went after my comments, which were spot on.

People can choose to ignore me all they like. It's been done before, and I also ignore others. It's free speech on a public forum. It's wonderful how that works. (As long as the wrong people aren't offended, but that's another thread for another day.) That's why I come and go on these forums. In particular, the GD forum all too often becomes a cesspool of leftist ideology. So, I choose to avoid it much of the time, and come back sparingly.

For the record, it's not just liberals that wish to help people. People of all political persuasions help others. However, it appears that many (most?) liberals too often advocate doing so only with other peoples' money, and with limited accountability.

No doubt, for all thisI won't get your coveted "like" . . . but I really don't care about that.

For the most part, your post was spot on, Todd.

don't know about the GD forum but that was created after the water cooler on the IU site that I used to go to from time to time. It too was heavily leaned by a couple of posters that are to the left...one, a teacher at IU...now who'd a figured? STill from time to time I may visit just to lose a couple of IQ points...to fit in.
