One player in particular is really struggling

Ten games is more than a stretch. and you didn't include any of the posts where I said positives about Myles. Nice try but you're still wrong.

And how many games are you willing to see him continue as he is shooting the ball right now? 15? A season? I know you have a man crush but come on.
Because you haven’t said anything positive 😂 😂 . It always “he kind of played good defense”.

Yeah, I mention that 10 game stretch because it was about Carsen Edwards. Maybe you’ve heard of him? Carsen ended the 2018-2019 season prior to the tournament around 25% from 3 (26/102). So according to your logic, you would have sat Carsen and decreased his minutes cuz he wasn’t shooting well and especially cuz his defense was waaay worse than Myles’ (C Boogie wasn’t too interested in playing any).

And had the coaches done what you think should be done, there would have been no E8 run with one of the best NCAAT performances anyone has seen. So thankfully, you are NOT the coach.

Bet you said the same thing about Carsen.
I did. In the games leading up to the NCAAT his senior year, CE had a stretch where he shot 19 of 99 from deep. He then proceeded to hit 28 of 61 in four NCAAT games.

If you can let your shooters shoot their way through a slump while still winning games they'll eventually shoot their way out of it.

Ding ding ding. North gets it.

Wrong. I was on the Carsen bandwagon when he was still in high school. He was special.
At Purdue, I was always happy for him to have the green light whenever he felt it.
I was never negative on him or Ivey.
Now Smith, I wasn't excited about. He's proved me wrong.

In order to have a sophomore slump, you must first have actually done something as a freshman.

I will ask a question. What position do painter’s only incoming commited players play? Do you see the reasoning in Painter continuing to recruit players at that same position? A hint: he’s not recruiting centers.

You constantly say you trust and believe in Painter. So there must be a logical reason. He is continuing to recruit 3 point shooting GUARDS!
Painter has repeatedly said that he wants a shooter in every class.

I missed Steve's comment. What did he say?

I'm sure Painter is telling Colvin and Heide to shoot when open. Otherwise, you end up with a Morton situation.
The question is, when will these guys get hot?
That wasn't your message. You criticize the player for taking a shot that his coach tells him to shoot. And as pointed out here, when that player gets open, Smith passes the ball to him for the shot. If the player didn't shoot, Painter would pull him, because he's not doing his job.

Last year, some people here wanted to bench Loyer because he was in a shooting slump. Painter played him and told him to shoot his way out of it. It's reasonable to think that he does the same with other players he considers good shooters.

I don't criticize a player for taking a shot, I criticize them for missing wide open shots, especially when that's why they're in the game.

Colvin is also in the game for defense, my guy. He’s had quite a few go in and out. Gotta let shooters get out of their slump.

As athletic as Heide and Colvin are, its amazing to me that they dont drive to the basket more often.
