From the time Ray hobbled off the court until he had that sweet baseline drive with the slam finish?

I know I did.

yeah and he went off his left foot on the dunk. I do not know if any specific rule differs if hurt on the court or off, but I'm thinking a hurt player on the court is more likely to get the dead ball call by being so easy to see. I know they had 5 on 4 for a while

I don't think anyone saw him for a while. I didn't until Cline started pointing at him.

he hurt it around the 4:16 mark of the first half. He jabbed his foot out on top of the offensive players foot and rolled it. Almost tweaked it exactly the same way a minute or two before. My thoughts are if you lay on the court and are somewhat in the way, they will stop play with the first possibility of a dead ball, maybe decreasing the 5 to 4 disadvantage...not sure it is as likely when you take yourself off the court...

Its been awhile but when Cornell hurt his leg in the IU game, they didn't stop play and Recker came down and drained a 3 right in front of me.

I was livid but we did win that game.

As for J Cool, it was the last time he ever played at Purdue with the same game he had before the injury. Was sad to see him not be able to do the things we all knew he once could do with ease.

I was at that game too. Cornell was one of my favorite players. That was an unfortunate injury.

They are not going to stop play until a "dead ball" unless the injured player is at risk of further injury. The point I was trying to make was that removal of yourself off the court increases the chance of the other team scoring...particularly if you are not really going to get severely injured like laying in a fetal position under the rim due to the player being completely off the court. In some instances it would not make a difference and in others it might.
