Official visit tomorrow

Have starting requirements and minimum number of playing minutes too?

No, really likes Purdue and Painter and has a clear blueprint with Braden what the keys to the offense look like for a PG. Not sure why he went to OTE but he doesn't have the... impulses of Catchings...

Catchings has 28 minutes and 6 points his last 3 games total, BTW.

If Kinney were to commit here, I wouldn't worry about that type of stuff. Just the normal "will someone desperate drop a giant bag" type of stuff

“In a press release from Overtime Elite, Kinney is quoted as saying: “I’m really excited to be joining OTE this season. I was able to see a lot of the facility over the summer and the thought of being surrounded by top players, amazing resources and around the clock training was too good of an opportunity to pass up. While it is very difficult to leave my friends and my family in Newport, I know that this is the best place for me as I continue to prepare for college and become the best player I can be on and off the court.”

I’m a little surprised he’s even recruiting any ote kids.
Think he was recruiting him before OTE if memory serves me correct.

Wouldn’t be a wise move to avoid them since there will be kids who pick OTE the same reason kids opt to go to a prep school instead of finishing at their high school. Just my 2 cents.

Would be awesome to have him. Seems like Purdue has a legitimate shot with him?

Feel spoiled now that it doesn’t seem like we need him, but he can just add to what painter has built. From the player’s perspective.. seems crazy smart to come to Purdue given what painter can do.

We don't need a Top 20 player?

He’s a 2026, so we will need him. Or someone else to replace Braden.

No? Feels like more like he'd be more of a luxury than a need to be competitive. For the reasons stated above. Unless you're of the opinion Painter can't make us competitive with our current crop of freshmen as juniors?
