Stop it. You don’t pull Blough at this point for anything but injury. Anything.
You do when the game is out of hand and you certainly don’t normally skip QB2 and go to QB3. Not often anywaysStop it. You don’t pull Blough at this point for anything but injury. Anything.

Listening to Fleck. Purdue was 0-12 on 3rd down conversions. MN had just fired their defensive coach. They kicked our butt the entire game. Both sides of the ball. Very bitter pill to swallow. Have to suck it up and try and win this week. The following week will not be a cakewalk either. There is nothing wrong with pulling the QB when you are down 34 points.Blough played like the Blough of old... I am sorry! There is no way I would have started him in the 2nd half. I think he got rattled at the end of the Iowa game and not sure his confidence was right for this game as a result. Freezing temperatures of course; if anything Blough showed he is not a cold weather QB. Definitely Blough's worst game of the year and the team's worst game of the year as well. Not blaming Blough for everything, but he didn't play up to his capabilities. My main complaint with the game is that we seemed to stay with the same offensive scheme for too long when it wasn't effective; instead of mixing it up more so. Trick plays were at a minimum, running game was pitiful (ran up the middle too much) and we just never seemed to have the momentum all game long. With all of the succes we have had this year, this was a bitter pill to swallow.![]()
Don't put this loss on Blough. This was a team loss. It would have made no difference who our QB was today. When their offensive line pushes our defense ten yards on a simple running play, you know the team is in trouble. Let's just hope this is a one game let down.Blough played like the Blough of old... Agreed. I did say that I didn't blame Blough for everything. Perhaps I was a little harsh, but I also think a QB change to start the 3rd quarter or at least following the 3rd quarter Blough fumble might have been the right move. A game to stay in the hunt for the BIG West and become bowl eligible; I just don't get how we came out so flat as a team. Also a game against that boat-rower should have provided extra motivation as well. Man, I sure hate saying we lost to that dude. He was so arrogant when we were looking for a new coach; like he didn't want to be bothered and had better things to do than interview with Purdue. Can't stand the guy!Don't put this loss on Blough.
