Not to brag: Purdue ranked 7th nationally

On TOS transfer portal ranking system.

No idea how it figures it’s ranking, but for onlu taking two running backs (James included), two receivers, a lineman and two defensive backs that ain’t bad (I think)
Don’t tell Indiana fans lol.. they’re crying about divisions even though they can’t beat Minnesota or northwestern.. like almost ever

Hard to multi-task in conference call and look over my favorite hobby sport and team. Damn, works gets in the way! Want to say not only the portal upgrades look good, but the top #20 signing class is impressive and comes at a time when most of the casual fans and posters usually piss and moan about recruiting.
Hearsay of a rumor later today as well from your region. Don't know if there is truth to rumor, but we'll soon see.

I think these ratings need to take into account both directions of the transfer portal

I think this is a very flawed mechanism/headline. Similar to high school recruiting rankings. The ranking points system is just a formula which includes the # of signees. You don't "win" the transfer game by the number of guys you take. With that said, the transfers all appear to help the team. I continue to be surprised by the WR transfers in the last 2 years.

You're right, it would be interesting to take consideration of the in's and outs, not just the in's. The metric that does that is "total team talent", I recommend that.

I also think there's a difference of value that is not accounted for is a rating between of .8500 for an 18 year old HS recruit vs. a 21 or 22 year old with experience, consider physically, mentally, redshirt strategy, etc.
