There’s nothing more to talk about here until the firing, so let’s talk NFL. Drop your thoughts on your team here.

There must be some fellow Bear fans on here. Tough scene for us right now. Just when things are starting to look up, the rest of the division is all awesome and you’re still finishing last. You have a sub par o line and easily the worst coaching staff in division. Huge mistake sticking with Eberflus. He’s a good DC but a bad HC. Waldron is terrible too. They have 2 real bad losses already and haven’t even played a division game yet, of which they very well could go 0-6. Ugh.

Plenty of Colts fans too I’m sure. All I have to say about them is that they made a bad pick at QB. Richardson is flat out terrible and they’re going to have to just accept that and find a way to move on. You can’t take a guy who’s basically never played in the top 5. Never had a chance.

Colts just need to tank for Arch Manning. Flacco can try for wild card this year then figure out when Manning is coming out and tank

The Falcons are decent. Still too much trauma from the 28-3 Super Bowl to invest any energy into them.

Nice to see Mooney rejuvenated and balling out. He seemed like he was just so over being a Bear and checked out last season

We have endured one the worst weeks in Bear fan history. With social media I can’t count how many times I’ve watched the (beginning only) Hail Mary last Sunday. Time to turn the page and beat the Cards.

Edit: Nevermind

As far as my Bears, I always thought that they should have kept Justin Fields and selected Marvin Harrison Jr. in the draft. The Bears offensive woes were due to the coaching and coaching offensive scheme not Fields.

Well ya just gotta love it when both your college and pro teams are the laughing stock of the football world. Both with total joke coaching staffs. All that’s left now is for Bobinski to stick with Walters for another year like Poles did with Eberflus. I don’t even like football any more and that’s sad.

Fields is a great athlete. Not a very good quarterback. He got beat out by a completely washed Russ.

Matt Eberflus, in his tenure as Bears HC, is 0-18 in road games played on a Sunday. Yes, there was a tank year, but that is pretty incredible.

His players spent all week questioning him publicly. They allowed a 53 yard TD rush with 12 seconds to go in the 1st half. This was the longest TD rush with less than 20 seconds to go since the 1970 merger. They allowed a pressure from 16 different Arizona Cardinal defenders. What an epic demonstration of losing a team.

He had to fire 2 coaches mid season last year for off the field issues. What a terrible, terrible mistake by Poles bringing him back. Now they both have to go.

Guys I don’t know if I can do this any more. Watching this type of coaching 2x every weekend is not good for a man.

It’s one thing for Purdue to suck, they truly don’t have great talent. But they just get bitchslapped constantly because of coaching. But then I have to watch the Chicago Bears, with a pretty damn good roster, be the team that everyone else just shakes their head at. They will find a way to lose. They might even give you hope, but you better bet your ass they will lose.

The Vikings today converted on I believe 4 consecutive 3rd and 11+ plays. O’Connell is a smart coach, and knew he could get uncovered receivers vs that coward Eberflus. Just put Aaron Jones out as a receiver (stop me if you’ve heard that one before) and they won’t cover him. Easy. Just have Addison move slightly before the snap outside of Jefferson and no one will cover him.

I am so damn sick of this trash.

Caleb Williams has not thrown an INT for 5 straight weeks. Since 1960, only the 1994 2-14 Houston Oilers have lost all 5 games in this scenario.

This head coach guys…it’s worse than Walters wrecking Purdue.

Da bearce, fan here. In the past 1.5 seasons the bears have not one, not two, but three losses where they had a 97% or better chance of winning late in the game and found out how to blow it (Denver, Detroit last year, Washington this year). Several other blown leads where it’s in the 90s percentile. I thought today they’d finally get a come from behind victory but eberflus is now 0-1 in OT. At some point you have to acknowledge this isn’t bad luck but incompetent coaching.

It’s truly sad and pathetic. And now the GM has to go too for doubling down on this idiot

Gardner Minshew goes down with a season ending broken clavicle. Aidan O'Connell is due to come off injured reserve (broken thumb), but the Raiders are in a world of hurt playing KC on a short week. Looks like O'Connell will likely get starts for most of the rest of the season pending further injury.

God forbid that you ever blitz on 3rd and forever!

Eberflus is the most cowardly coach I’ve ever seen. Every decision is driven by fear of what may go wrong
But have you thought about why he’s here? Ditka embarrassed the mccaskeys repeatedly. Since then the priority is 1) fit in with the family. 2) can you coach.

I love how eberflus is the worst ever (I don’t think he’s any good) and then they are just now starting to get their media people to start questioning poles. When eberflus is fired the mantra will be “can’t say anything about the new coach! He’s new! He’s different from the last 10 no talent coaches they hired.” Then everything will be poles fault. Poles will get fired and the new guy will be “different” (“THIS TIME it’s really different guys!”) than poles, pace, Angelo and whoever the f else. And if things go bad, the coach after eberflus will be the new and ONLY reason that things go wrong. Or maybe by then it will be Caleb a la fields.

And the whole while the mccaskeys keep the entire fan base from demanding.. mother f-ing DEMANDING that those no talent morons sell the team.

That sack of Williams in Overtime summed up the Bears' season.

A lot of promise......plenty of time/protection......looking right.....loooking left......backpedal......looking right again........ now looking left again.......further backpedal......looking right......oh *&^%$.....he's down.

I’ve never been a believer that Williams warranted the number one pick. He’d have been a good choice if you got him at 20.

He takes too many sacks but he was pretty fantastic yesterday and has already had 3 big time late drives to put them in position to win. He’s had to work through basically a mutiny already. I think he looks pretty good, and I think he’d go #1 again if they re-drafted today

His completion percentage on passes over 15 yards was the worst in the last 15 years going into yesterday.

Don’t confuse didn’t warrant the number one pick with no good. I’d have rather traded down and gotten another haul.

Remember Tomczak vs Harbaugh? Tomczak would suck and get benched halfway through a game and then Harbaugh would turn heads. He’d have another good game and then the next team after that would spend all week game planning for Harbaugh. Then he’d be ehhh and Tomczak would go in and have a good game and so on.

Thomas brown isn’t on film yet with Chicago. In the next 2-3 weeks you’re going to see Moore catch a screen pass that you’ve only seen recently and a guy is going to be waiting for him and knock him into next week. and other plays are going to be diagnosed much better. Then youll see how much Williams has improved.

Then there’s year two. Remember how good stroud was last year? Most QBs have throws they just don’t make well. Areas of the field they don’t see well on certain looks. Year two comes and the guy who can’t throw a great out route sees DBs creep inside a step or two. Then you find out how good a player is really going to be.

I’ll stick by my take on Williams

They had to take him. It was a lock, no brainer, consensus #1 that everyone was waiting for for 2+years. And he’s coming along nicely under an incompetent HC.

Thomas Brown is calling the same offense as Waldron, he’s just doing it a little differently and the players actually like him. Waldron was a huge disaster. What was it, after week 2 that old man Marcedes Lewis went after him and told him to get his shit together? lol. Also the pass pro has looked really good the past 2 weeks. Obviously a big part of that is having your starting tackles back, but also Caleb getting more comfortable orchestrating at the line. He still misses things but can overcome it. See the play yesterday, he misses that Van Ginkel is coming free but makes him miss and then makes a ridiculous throw to Swift for a big gain.

I think he is very, very good. They have to make a good coaching hire.

They didnt have to take him. This is an understanding problem that you and a lot of bears fans have. Bears fans who were pushy and desperate to get fields, trubisky and especially cutler. What they need is to have someone in that building who knows something about QB play that others don’t. Then you don’t need the number one pick. Love, Rodgers, Favre.. none of these guys were number one picks.

What does that look like? Well, had they traded down for Bo Nix, you’re getting more production and a haul of picks. You can’t tell me that Bill walsh wouldn’t have made the right call there. There has never been a bill Walsh at Halas hall.

It can be the same offense, but whenever you have someone making vastly different choices, the other teams don’t have it on film, yet.

As far as the Vikings, they’re the 28th ranked pass defense. They had to blitz to get pressure and then their blitzers weren’t athletic enough to stay with Williams. This was not Lawrence Taylor or Wilber Marshall coming off the edge.

I don’t think he’s very good. He has a chance to be pretty good long term, but not so good that you needed to use the number one pick on him. He has some very good attributes. But his best stuff is often leaving the pocket against bad defenses. If he was the player you see he’d be in the pocket beating very good defenses.

There is going to be a wake up call either when the league adjusts to brown or after the season when these DCs go to work on all of the film.

I knew you’d bring up Nix. Funny that it wasn’t Daniels, though. He was crowned early, now it’s Nix. Caleb would go first again right now over both.

They have to get a real HC, and Poles, who I think will be spared, has to get serious about the lines on both sides. They have to add a legit good starter on both lines at minimum.

Also I thin Keenan Allen was a mistake. Seemed like a good idea at the time. But they have used him like a legit alpha WR1 and he is not that at all. His presence has limited your best weapons in Moore, Odunze, and Kmet.

But again, they just have to get the right coach. I just sit every week and dream of what it would be like to have a coach like Tomlin, or a Harbaugh. And Jim was available, but they just had to double down on Eberflus. 🤦‍♂️
