Thanks for the link. I still don't think that both he and Aaron Wheeler needed to be offered for the 2017 class. I would have liked to have seen them offer one or the other, but not both. From what I gather, they can both be described as long, thin combo forwards (similar to Smotherman).

I just think that either an athletic, rim-protecting 4 or 4/5 or a quick and overall athletic and skilled guard with some height (say, 6'3 or taller) would have been the top priorities after they got the commitment from Wheeler. I didn't see the need for them to offer Ewing. He doesn't appear to be much of a shot-blocker, so that eliminates the rim-protecting aspect, which is desirable.

Tall athletic guard like...Eastern.
Give me 6'8" athletes all day long. You can make them work real well.

JUCO isn't the same level of competition as NCAA DI. It makes a difference, even when shooting 3PT's. If you don't think it does, you're deluding yourself.
Wait! In the past you criticized people who said the same thing you are saying about JUCOs! You even said that Purdue will never go to a FF without recruiting JUCOs. I have concluded that you have lost any semblance of reality in your life. You should back away from Purdue basketball for the Christmas season and re-center your life.

Can you do it? Can you ignore Purdue basketball until January 1, 2018, for your own mental well-being?

I don't think you can.

Thanks for clarifying on Doug Lee. Not sure why I thought he was a juco. Regardless, one of my all time favorite Boilers. He played here when I was a young kid and my dad worked with his brother. I got to go into the locker room after a couple of games. That was really cool at that age. Great guy

Ha! I'm sure you can. I consider it sport. I point out the horrible flaws in his thinking until he gets frustrated and puts me on ignore again. Then I still point them out. He's kind of like reasonable guy except reasonable guy knows what he's doing.
Put it in perspective. It's easy to be reasonableguy. Being one of our regular delusionals is more difficult.

For God's sake make up your mind! You do nothing but post crap about every transfer and Juco that is available and complain because we don't "go after them". Now that we do sign one you think we don't need him. You really make yourself look uninformed about our program.

You think we need to sign an athletic, skilled guard that is 6'3" or taller?? Could I introduce you to Nojel Eastern? At least try to keep up.

Per Painter, Wheeler us more of a big guard who will play the 2/3 and Ewing is a 4.

We have a pretty decent history with junco players. I'm sure we have gone thru this before but let's list some of them. This is testing my memory...
Chuckie White
Jimmy Oliver
Doug Lee
Kenny Williams
Roy Hariston
Darmetrius Kilgore
Tony Mayfield
