Tall athletic guard like...Eastern.Thanks for the link. I still don't think that both he and Aaron Wheeler needed to be offered for the 2017 class. I would have liked to have seen them offer one or the other, but not both. From what I gather, they can both be described as long, thin combo forwards (similar to Smotherman).
I just think that either an athletic, rim-protecting 4 or 4/5 or a quick and overall athletic and skilled guard with some height (say, 6'3 or taller) would have been the top priorities after they got the commitment from Wheeler. I didn't see the need for them to offer Ewing. He doesn't appear to be much of a shot-blocker, so that eliminates the rim-protecting aspect, which is desirable.
he knocked down quite a few big shots!Doug Lee was great. He did the little stuff and could knock down the big shot when you needed it.
Wait! In the past you criticized people who said the same thing you are saying about JUCOs! You even said that Purdue will never go to a FF without recruiting JUCOs. I have concluded that you have lost any semblance of reality in your life. You should back away from Purdue basketball for the Christmas season and re-center your life.JUCO isn't the same level of competition as NCAA DI. It makes a difference, even when shooting 3PT's. If you don't think it does, you're deluding yourself.
Put it in perspective. It's easy to be reasonableguy. Being one of our regular delusionals is more difficult.Ha! I'm sure you can. I consider it sport. I point out the horrible flaws in his thinking until he gets frustrated and puts me on ignore again. Then I still point them out. He's kind of like reasonable guy except reasonable guy knows what he's doing.
For God's sake make up your mind! You do nothing but post crap about every transfer and Juco that is available and complain because we don't "go after them". Now that we do sign one you think we don't need him. You really make yourself look uninformed about our program. Thanks for the link. Per Painter, Wheeler us more of a big guard who will play the 2/3 and Ewing is a 4.Thanks for the link. I still don't think that both he and Aaron Wheeler needed to be offered for the 2017 class. And thankfully, you are in no position to impact that decision since it would of been the wrong one again. Thanks for the link. I still don't think that both he and Aaron Wheeler needed to be offered for the 2017 class.

Give me 6'8" athletes all day long. You can make them work real well.
Denny Crum did at Louisville. His teams were known for big athletic guards. And forwards were 6-6 to 6-9.Tall athletic guard like...Eastern.
