Since appleby has proven again this season that he's not the type of QB that can lead Purdue to success, who do we go with, and when? I am leaning toward Blough, due to his mobility, and the fact that it would be ideal to redshirt sindelar.

As for when, ISU makes the most sense to me, but you could make a case for BG also.

Here it is. The first "pull the shirt off Sindelar" thread of the year. I would rather lose every game this year before pulling his shirt.

Sindlear is not healthy he tore his ACL 9 months ago. Danny Anthrop is not healthy he tore his ACL 10 months ago. Blough is the other option this year.

The QB is not the reason we lost this game. The first play, yes it was not good. We should never have been in the position for him to throw the second pick six.

This team is without question better than the past two years. Marshall is no slouch. We should have beaten them on the road. Last year we would have lost by 5 touchdowns.

We are no bowl team, but at least we are competitive. It is one game, the sky is not falling....yet.

I think Blough needs to play. Appleby is d

Disagree. This looked alot like last year. The Minnesota game comes to mind. We'll know for sure after Bowling Green, who I would say will probably beat us, based on watching some of their game @ Tennessee

So, you're saying, with Shoop, you'd be willing to bet that even if one of those players are good, the offense will be good?

I wonder how Drew Brees would do if Randall Lane was running back toward the -10 yard line in motion and Vinny Sutherland was ducking in behind the RG to block for Montrell Lowe on a two TE set that brings the defense right to ball carrier on a couple of telegraphed read option gives to the back..

The team was better at so many positions. I give Marshall the win at QB, WRs and one corner. And they won.

That's troubling. Is the team better? In a lot of places yes! And yet we're still having terrible spacing on offense, telegraphing plays, zigging when they haven't proven they can stop us from zagging (and they end up waiting for the zig), and allowing a massively wide open area in the middle of the defense for passes (Jesus, get beat up the sideline once already before you give up the middle of the field).

So, if we keep Shoop, what's gonna happen when our offensive line can't push everyone around like they could with Marshall? I.E. v. everyone else we play except ISU and BG.

BoilermakerD you pushed Marshall around? Really? Better check all the game stats. Marshall was not "pushed" around. All stats but the score are close. Good effort though.

Yes. The personnel from Purdue physically won matchups on the line of scrimmage. Marshall was sucking wind and got punched in the mouth. And then, right when Marshall was getting gashed, Shoop pulled a couple telegraph jobs on drives. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

Did we lose and was the stat sheet worse than some of the physical match ups.. no doubt about it. But don't act like Marshall was just taking it to Purdue physically. Purdue lost despite winning battles.

Come on, seriously, are you going to sit here and tell me you thought Purdue's coordinators were good?

Birdsong was poised, #8 was a better back to me than 47, your two main WRs won their matchups and you had a corner have a huge day. Also, you've got a nice kicker. Purdue was better everywhere else and lost.

1. Bad change of tempo after leads by the offense
2. Bad spacing on offense
3. Leaving the middle of the field wide open out of fear of getting beat deep

That's how Purdue lost.

If you read the post, I said I would rather start Blough for that very reason.

I take it you think appleby's the guy?
