New uniforms?

Here is an amazing article from 2011 (thats four years ago) that will show all of you why alternate uniforms are a good thing for a program like Purdue. Once again, I use the phrase "out of touch with reality" for a lot of our older fans.
How about this for "out of touch with reality"? The only thing you seem to be concerned about is that some people would rather see the team in crappy t shirts and jeans if they at least played above .500 football and looked competently coached week in and week out while your sense of reality is show me the flash.

I liked the new uniforms yesterday. More than that, I like the effort in trying to reach the younger crowd. New uniforms don't mean more wins or better recruits. However, new uniforms grab attention, and that's a good thing. I talk to high school athletes all the time. Guess what...they love new uniform combinations and helmets.

I was nervous when they said grey uniforms in the spring. However, yesterday those jerseys looked sharp in person, especially combined with the white helmets. It was an awesome way to change things up 1-2 x per year.
