I'm glad my son is a track coach and not a football coach at OSU. However, their current AD is not a happy guy at the moment and has a history of firing coaches. he did so when he was AD at texas A& M and has already fired several OSU coaches in other sports. his goal is championships, not third place finishes.
the loss to Michigan killed their pride, their lofty college ranking, and the chance to host one of the play-off games. 100,000 fans not coming to watch a football game is a lot of revenue to say good bye to.
I was at the OSU/ Michigan game. I heard the chants of Fire Day. I believe Day will be given a chance to redeem himself in the football playoffs. if OSU loses early, , I doubt Day returns. I believe he's going to have to make it to the championship game if he expects to keep his job.
if you look back in time when people were talking about a new coach and the name Myles came up, my choice was Jim Tressel. he could win, recruit and pay his athletes. And now paying athletes is legal. when Tressel was let go at OSU, supposedly any school that wanted to hire him had to show the NCAA just cause as to why they should hire Tressel. I believe all Purdue has to do is show the NCAA their record for the past decade as just cause. Purdue needs Tressel. so what if he's old. He's younger than Biden and Trump. Vote for Tressel today as your next Purdue coach. Send in those dancing with the stars votes for Tressel. Make it happen.
