New coach bench this team - Losers lick / winners win or die trying

That's the biggest thing about this gaggle we got right now. The last 4 teams each one dropped 50 points on this group. How is that even possible? You have to basically not try at all to have that happen. Football is a game when played right by both sides should be a low scoring sport. As bad as this offense is over the years the defense is so pathetic it's shameful. This team should be ashamed of themselves. You don't got to be Ohio State every year. You damn well better be one out of every 4. If you can't be as good as your peers after 4 years of pampering and training at a big 5 school then you aren't good enough to be on the team period. So when you see a Purdue team that loses to all big ten schools except Illinois 4 straight years then what you are seeing is basically a bunch of fools that never deserved to play D1 football and certainly not at a big 5 conference program.

Coaching is a part of it absolutely no doubt. But that is no excuse to be a damn loser out there and suck germs off the other teams feet like it is a damn steak. Motivation should never be lacking if you are on this team. You don't need a good coach to be motivated. But a good coach sure as hell isnt going to put a bunch of lackey punks out there with slob attitudes and gimp smirks. That's one thing the new coach better display that Hazell sure as hell never displayed. Motivation. A bad coach leaves unmotivated players on the field wasting everyone's time. It is about achieving goals or to die trying. What is the goal of this team and this gaggle of whimpering whimp foot lickers? To lick? To be somebody's punk gimp? IU has beat these sloppy fat azz stuttering idiots 3 years in a row dominating them like they are somebody's punk. At least be mad about it and play as a team with anger. Is that too much to goddam ask? Play angry at least instead of having a snickering loser face smile like its cool to get your teeth kicked. Because it's not. That's the attitude that has nurtured the current state of things. You're not a kid at 18 and your supposed to be a man at 23. Don't call these kids because they're not and if they are it's because Purdue is neither a good college or a place for people to develop into something. It's an insult to call college graduate aged kids mere kids. That's because they've been failed by a system designed to fail them in the first place and don't care about anything at all period.

On the former AD I agree he lacked skill dealing and selecting a proper coach, and put other sports all sports over football in importance. No doubt was unfair to fans, alumni, and players alike. But when you watch the effort out there, the last four games, it's quite clear the players don't give a rats asz about what happens on the field at all and are playing to end their careers blaming everyone but themselves. They're the ones on the field and they're the ones that ultimately should care regardless of coach and play call. At any point those players could decide to win and play to do so. It's just that simple.

Like a Purdue fan is supposed to sit here and be happy about watching people go out there and get shoved around like a bunch of whimps. I do not agree with that. If Alabama performed like Purdue yesterday that words wouldn't be said by him to his players? Behind the scenes good coaches make what I said look like bible class choir practice. I got some news Nick Saban disagrees with that and so do I. Respect is earned. What happened yesterday was a disgrace. The only thing I agree with is the new coach needs to fix the problem and my suggestion is to start by finding a complete new line of players that don't carry this teams current attitude.

It was really hard to watch that game yesterday on so many levels. On just so many levels. There might be one or two players out there on Purdue's team that perform. Maybe three and no team can with with 3 players. The rest don't care, don't want to care, and should have never been on that team to begin with.

FoolMe's post did come off pretty harsh on the players. Honestly, though, after getting clubbed badly on the scoreboard for the past few weeks, a few mean words on a forum probably shouldn't sting so badly.

I can understand your rant.......Hey kids are so coddled way too much today!( not much on the accountability front anymore) Sometimes a good swift kickin the AZZ is needed!! And I am sure some of the starters are just going through the motions with a defeatist attitude! Hey, they feel they are going to start anyways due to the fact the talent level behind them is not any better. This is a house of cards going on for over ten years now, dating back to Tillers last couple of years! MB can take most of the blame for this! Tiller lost most of his staff by the time he retired, MB wasn't willing to put up the money to keep them. We can all hope the next coach can recruit better, coach the X's and O's, and motivate these guys to leave it all out on the field on Saturday's!
