In all civil violent riot disobedience & looting situations, the cops should be able to respond to violent attacks and looting with extreme violence. Warn them, then shoot, hopefully -- in legs. Preferably non lethal, but not going to worry much or hold cops responsible if accidents happen. Problem solved.
And don’t hold the taxpayers responsible for the medical care if these people get injured.
Of course. Shooting protestors couldn't POSSIBLY lead to even more protests. Larger. Probably more violent. In cities all over the country. Would do wonders for trumps presidency and legacy.

The other point is that you ignored is that escalating the protests will be the downfall of trump. That was the point of another post. He will react stronger each time and the protests will grow as a result. People will start dying and he will blame the protesters while convincing you sheep it is necessary and only he can save you from the invasion.

There has been current DOJ comments they are actively seeking the persons funding these riots. Stop the funding and, IMO, the riots will decrease, at least in scope.
I want the BS to stop, but bullets are a step too far, unless/until the rioters fire upon law enforcement. Never forget, the Ohio National Guard was on solid ground at Kent State until somebody loaded live ammunition. They were immediately on the wrong side when kids started falling dead.
There needs to be an increase in aggression with a shorter fuse. Water cannons, rubber bullets, dogs whatever after notification to leave and never should they be allowed to block roads, but you are right the publicity would not be good or should I say worse than usual. Do they have permits ? No.
This like the summer of love is organized and well funded…like an attempt to fundamentally transform this country…

I don't know about a life sentence, but my vote goes towards major criminal charges to those funding and gaslighting these protests. The charges would need to be in line with how bad things got/what they asked the rioters to do.

Would you have advocated that Capitol police used water cannons, rubber bullets, dogs, etc. on the Jan 6 folks? That's what they did to black folks back in the 60s. Particularly black teenagers in the famous ABC news clip in Birmingham, AL in 1963.
I find it funny that y'all are advocating all this violence against these immigration protestors and then down play the Jan 6 folks as tourists and only walking around inside the Capitol. Even though these Jan6 folks were beating the crap, hand to hand contact of hundreds of police.

Everyone I know has acknowledge that there was a group of rioters...and flash bombs and rubber bullets were used on them...some say started without cause. It is true that there were tourists being escorted in and around the capital...possibly the first time they were able to see where their tax dollars go.

An attached poster showed the Party for Socialism and Liberation, as well as Code Pink—an anti-war activist group that Singham’s wife, Jodi Evans, co-founded—as event endorsers.
Evans began a campaign called “China Is Not Our Enemy” through Code Pink in 2020. One member of her group in March disrupted a February 2023 hearing by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, waving a banner with the campaign’s slogan.
The networks’ Chinese ties have received growing attention in Congress.
In April, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Patel, urging them to assess whether The People’s Forum and Code Pink should register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act due to their alleged ties to Beijing.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) on June 10 said the House Oversight Committee, on which she serves, will issue a formal document request to Singham regarding “his funding of a communist group linked to the LA riots and the CCP.”

What grade would I give them? I'd say they probably earned a C-. They failed to take control of the situation early and didn't activate until it was too late. But, the chaos only lasted for what, less than 2 hours?
That grade is about right. Should they have been killed like the sheriff in the video says?
What works best is pepper spray in the face. They don't stay around for a second dose.
