Neal

This post started with Neal not being ready for the Nevada game, nothing was mentioned about the games after that.

So what? Do you really think the worry about Neal missing Nevada is limited to the Nevada game? Can't posters expand a 12 word post into a related conversation? Are Colts fans not supposed to worry about Andrew Luck missing regular season games because all the Colts have said is that he won't play in the preseason?

It is to me, one game at a time. (9 words, can you work with that)?

Neal will be very important to the TCU game and the B1G schedule. While it would be a mistake to overlook Nevada as a sure win, it is a likely win with/without Neal. The safe play is to give him extra time to recover from the injury and surgery so that we are more likely to have him when it really counts.

If one or two extra weeks makes all the difference with restoring his health and preventing setbacks, then sure, you don't play him until he's healthy. But I think there is a lot of suspicion whether one week is really going to make a big difference 8 months into recovery. If he's not 100% a snap count might be more beneficial/less risky than keeping him out a week and then giving him a full workload.

Could have used Neal tonight. Probably would have made up the difference with a fresher D line in the 4th quarter, even with all the mental mistakes.

Johnson made a couple of plays early, and Watts made a couple. But the DL was all GK and Barnes. I actually thought they got tired by the middle of the 4th. Should have been subbing more earlier in the game.
