ND loses again - this time to Alabama

What the heck is going on this year? Is it really just that much parity or did the "experts" just completely miss on who the good teams were going to be this year? We are three weeks in and there are only 29 undefeated teams left!

Seems like parity is extreme this year but the experts certainly missed on a few of the emerging good teams. Case in point, Xavier looks to be a top 15 team this year and weren't ranked to start the year. Really entertaining non-conference as a result.

Who did they lose?

They don't look nearly as explosive as the team that blew us out of Bankers last year.

Also. Why is it we always get the toughest team each year in that thing?

They lost Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton, arguably their two best players.

+1
Especially about the "experts" missing on some teams. There was another thread on here about the polls and there was a link where you could see exactly how each person voted in the AP poll. It was ridiculous. Just last week there were 2 voters that didn't even have PU in their top 25. At the other end of the spectrum you had teams like WI and ND that had lost so much talent and yet were still placed in the top 25 to start the season. It's like the voters don't want to take the time to actually educate themselves they just take the lazy way out.

That leads to many "upsets" that really aren't that surprising if you study the teams.
