Athleticism has never been in doubt. He's got a real uphill battle to get up to speed on both sides of the ball given the coaching he's received up to this point and high school competition he faced. He'll be an excellent player, question is whether that will happen this season.
There will be lots of posts from our "friends" that will say the Boilermakers were all Edey, and when he's gone we will fall back to "normal (whatever that is). I expect to continue right along our path of dominating competition, Edey or no Edey. We have many other stars besides him and we will be just fine the year after this.He will be a star here - similar to Ivey it may take until his Sophomore year
I think his shot and overall shooting looks better than Ivey at this point in their careers (first year prior to season starting). I would say Ivey could finish a bit better at the rim at this point though. I’m excited to watch him this year and next (if he makes a leap like Ivey from 1st to 2nd year, he might follow in iveys footsteps and leave for the draft). Adds a ton of athleticism and he is young…just about to turn 18 soon….ceiling is pretty high IMO for him.He will be a star here - similar to Ivey it may take until his Sophomore year
Jaden was quicker and Myles is a better shooter and overall more complete offensive player as a freshmen than Jaden was as a freshman IMO. We will all get to see how it goes for Myles through the yearI think his shot and overall shooting looks better than Ivey at this point in their careers (first year prior to season starting). Yes, that is what I was trying to get across! Hope Myles makes a huge leap like Jaden did…hopefully even sooner!Jaden was quicker and Myles is a better shooter and overall more complete offensive player as a freshmen than Jaden was as a freshman IMO. Very few people in the world faster with a basketball in their hands than Jaden Ivey.Jaden was quicker and Myles is a better shooter and overall more complete offensive player as a freshmen than Jaden was as a freshman IMO. We will all get to see how it goes for Myles through the year
Yes you wanted him to have teh ball at half court when the D was not set. Still, Myles is a much more complete scorer it appears in that he can score in all 3 areas and I imagine he will be covered on the perimeter as opposed to only waiting on the driveVery few people in the world faster with a basketball in their hands than Jaden Ivey.
Both have amazing athletic pedigrees.Yes you wanted him to have teh ball at half court when the D was not set. Still, Myles is a much more complete scorer it appears in that he can score in all 3 areas and I imagine he will be covered on the perimeter as opposed to only waiting on the drive

I think they are both fast, but perhaps Jaden is faster in an open court from half court and Lew Jack is quicker in traffic...That is what I thought, but I was told by "experts" on here that LewJack was faster. I said, good to know. 😎
Mmmm I would say iverson, rose, dearron fox, Westbrook, John wall to name a few…hahaVery few people in the world faster with a basketball in their hands than Jaden Ivey.
Jadens dad also played college football at Notre Dame and in the NFL, and so did his grandpa! Both have amazing athletic pedigrees.
Jaden's mom was an NCAA champion point guard who played in the WNBA, now coaches her Notre Dame alma mater and prepped her son at La Lumiere his senior season.
Myles' dad was a PU and NFL football star who too loves his alma mater. One might argue Myles has lesser grooming but a larger physique, can leap out the gym, has nice outside stroke & his own near-unlimited potential.
Speaking of which, anything new on Kanon Catchings?
didn't know about his grandpaJadens dad also played college football at Notre Dame and in the NFL, and so did his grandpa!
I imagine that Jaden could have been an awesome NFL wide receiver had he chosen that route.Jadens dad also played college football at Notre Dame and in the NFL, and so did his grandpa!
Heard KC dropped in the latest recruiting ratings, which is probably a good thing for Purdue. Both have amazing athletic pedigrees.

Yes saw this as well for the on3 “rankings”. Hope the best for him and hope he still comes to Purdue next year. Would be great to see him paired with Myles.Heard KC dropped in the latest recruiting ratings, which is probably a good thing for Purdue.
