My wish list starting lineup

PG - Bob Cousy
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Lebron James
PF - Karl Malone
C - Kareem Abdul Jabar

Hey, if we're gonna post stupid starting lineups after every game I'll just give you the one I want to stick with.

I think that's a balanced lineup. 6-5 to 6-8 height between the 1 and 4 gives you defensive versatility and Hammons is the insurance for sacrificing foot speed. This is an offensive lineup with slashers and shooters that don't turn it over too many times collectively. Edwards just showed he can rebound like a beast last night...so I think this lineup would be strong on the glass. You have your highest IQ at the point but 1-4 can bring it up the court if needed. I'm all for it.

My preferred lineup: AJ, Vince, Ray, Dakota, Johnny

Biggie first off the bench; maybe it would help take a little pressure off and reduce the turnover rate. Part of the reason to not start him is defense as well; he gets beat a lot. Moving Vince and Ray down a slot and adding replacing Biggie with Dakota puts a better defensive team in the floor depite losing some rebounding IMO.

Minutes for Isaac obviously... How many depends on match ups & how he & AJ are playing. I thought he was strong yesterday; hope that continues.

Even minutes for Kendall and Cline. KS just isn't proving to be consistent enough at hitting 3's to make him top shooter off the bench IMO. At some point, you have to admit we have enough data points to say that, and part of the problem is shot selection, which seems fixable. But KS is a good defender & still a threat from deep if left open, & deserves minutes for that contribution. I think Cline is quietly improving on both ends; he has had some our best post feeds recently, his defense is getting better, and it is possible with more minutes he'll improve faster and even become the consistent 3-point shooter we have not been able to count on KS to be. I think that's why you saw the change in minutes at SG yesterday.

At PG, I think Johnny starts & PJ's minutes depend on how well he is shooting on a given night along with match ups. If PJ is cold, Johnny is clearly top PG because of length and defense, plus the fact Johnny has some penetration skills we need for multidimensional offense.
