That missed MSU game is unfortunately going to loom large for us when it comes to BTT seeding. With Illinois’ loss to Nebraska last night we are now a half game behind them just because we have played 1 less game. We have the head-to-head advantage over them. So that’s the difference between being the 6th seed and playing a team (11 or 14th seed) that has already played a game a day prior and a 7 seed who is playing a fresh 10 seed.

Tough break for KG in a situation they had no control over.

I really think Illinois, as a team, peaked in January.

Agreed on UIll, they are not playing as well now as they did a month ago. Lucky for us we played them during their slump and not at their peak. But that is why the conference title means more than the BT title, you have to be consistent over the whole conference season.
