Nice moment last night. Now let's hope the team can get back to business as if it never happened. Focus on Northwestern and keep those damn filthy Badger paws off our trophy! And just as importantly keep the mojo going into the post season.

Taking one evening to celebrate a regular season conference title is nice, but I like Biggie's attitude of 10 more to play.

I'm glad our game is before the Wisconsin game on Sunday, as it should be less of a distraction. It should be assumed that the Badgers will win that game.

Northwestern plays Michigan tonight and Purdue on Sunday. They've lost 5 of their last 7. While they aren't on the bubble, if they lose both of these games, they will find themselves there probably - or at least with a lot of pressure to win in the BTT.

I'd like to see Purdue play with some pressure, not that it won't be there regardless. I think right now, I'm not sure how Purdue will do when faced with their backs against the wall. It didn't go well at Michigan and this will be another test. A team will be HUNGRY for a win against us.

When we go into the BTT as a #1 seed, people will be gunning for us. Same thing with the tournament - we'll be the higher seed and many people are putting some pretty lofty expectations on us. Purdue's quietly put together a hell of a second half of the Big Ten season, but there haven't been a lot of great teams as we know.

As much as I wanna see Crotch-Grabber U melt down and miss the tournament, I think them getting win #21 tonight is probably best us for Sunday. With the way we struggle in that gym we need all the intangibles we can get.

I mean, at this point - not that NW won't being trying in either scenario - I'd like to see Purdue be put in "backs against the wall" situations. That's what is going to happen at the BTT as a #1 seed - people will be gunning for you - and that's what you get at the NCAA Tournament.

Purdue did a great job in the second half of the Big Ten season - but they did it fairly quietly. We were always a ranked team, but not #1 in the Big Ten or what not.

And this goes for individual players - Swanigan is being promoted as national player of the year, well he needs to play like national player of the year when he's challenged (as he has been against IU, Michigan and Penn State - and was ok, but not great). Vince Edwards can't go into hiding. We need to keep our turnovers under control as a team. The list goes on and on.

Is that going to place Purdue in line to play Minny? :)

Yeah. I don't think NW is going to lay down for Sunday's game regardless. If we don't come focused and ready to play we will lose. If we come focused, we may win or lose. But I'd rather win by 1 than lose by 1 due to some intangible on their side.
