You forgot to mention Dr. Disaster's Marketing GENIUS and how he elevated the Purdue "brand";
the best example of this was when Burke tried to change our fight song and produced a slick, highly-polished video to introduce that new fight song.
I'll never forget it because it started out great, with Purdue fans enthusiastically marching to Ross-Ade Stadium in a frenzy, all excited to spend the afternoon watching Purdue actually
compete on the gridiron!
But once those die-hards arrived at the stadium, they saw that it was only for the "chosen few", the "elite" decision makers who called the shots. Of course, it was obvious to everyone that Purdue had decided that they didn't want to participate in an "arms race", so those "wise" decision makers decided to have a good old-fashioned foot race; and of course Purdue finished in
LAST PLACE in that too.
Oh well, "Other diversions were to be found in the Eternal Gardens of Pleasure."
Translation: TWO-THIRDS of our fan base has kicked these STUPID LOSERS (meaning Athletic Dept.) to the curb.
