Moore decommits from Texas

"I believe I have inside information on a Carterville 4* TE who will also be attending that same all star game, and many people including myself advised him to commit early rather than wait because he's already had two major injuries in the past two years. but, he also wants to wait

I believe we'll know Moore tomorrow if this is all just a smoke screen or not.

to answer your question, I DO NOT believe his commitment will be part of the national TV broadcast of the game. And I highly doubt Brohm told him to wait for that game to make his announcement because it would bring additional publicity to the Purdue football program.

Wonder if disclosing the private thoughts of 4* Luke Ford on our board will be appreciated by he or his parents? Also not sure why you feel your opinion on his recruitment or commitment deserves or warrants your direct involvement, unless of course you are a close personel friend or advisor?

Nearly all of your posts today seem to suggest or exhibit a psychosis related to feelings of self importance that could result in delusions of greatness-just say'n..............[/QUOTE]

I would be careful. your post is very long and also very speculative. People may start confusing you with me.

I also never mentioned the recruit's name or my relationship to him. Once again, it is you who are speculating and assuming. Obviously, you've been spending some time digging.

I believe several things.

I believe much like the Senior bowl, there will be many college coaches and scouts meeting with the athletes at the all star game with offers in hand and trying to flip unsigned players. a player may go to the all star game with one college in mind, and then he meets the new coach at Tenn, FSU or Texas A&M and comes away with a new offer that week. Much like today, when Rondale's trainer mentioned he's now thinking about FSU as a finalist.

.

**This certainly won't happen, as I understand it, because the game occurs during the "Dead Period" when coaches cannot have any contact with recruits. We are in the midst of the dead period now and it does not end until January 11

Face to face contact with the athlete or parents is prohibited from December 18 - January 11. It also states the coaches can't watch the athletes compete during the dead period. They can, however, exchange phone calls or letters so some contact is allowed. I saw no exception clause referring to the all-star game either so I would have to agree with you that if this were to happen, it would be a clear recruiting violation. Maybe Wole can link an exemption clause?

I was wrong.

However, your comments look like the rules are filled with loopholes. the coaches can't watch the athletes compete ? But they probably can watch the game on TV. Isn't that the same thing? And it's the dead period and they are not supposed to be contacting players, but they can exchange phone calls?

So what's preventing a coach from watching the player on TV and then tweeting to the player and saying - nice play, don't make an announcement yet, I have an offer for you at FSU ? obviously, it's not very ethical, but it seems like something lane kiffin would do.

I was wrong.

Yes it appears you were wrong, no need to follow it up with all of the other conjecture. If he plans to announce at the game, which everything I have read seems to point to this, a coach isn't going to have much time to reach him unless he plans on playing the game and checking immediately after. If he was going to use the game to garner additional attention/offers, it would make sense for him to wait beyond the game and wait for the higher WRs to commit first.

It will be nice once Moore signs wherever he is going (hope it is at Purdue obviously). This has been the biggest storyline in the Purdue football recruiting, so a resolution will be fantastic.

fans are brutal. the posts on this board pale in comparison to other boards. and moore hasn't even signed anywhere yet. he could still resign with texas. and then what will their fans say?
