Milton Wright

I'll admit I was one of those people who predicted we wouldn't be able to sign both Wright and bell. I will be glad to be wrong. I believe Brohm's game plan against Iowa incorporating the wideouts helped seal the deal for Wright

Had to speak volumes IMO. If Bell was paying attention, he could see a WR pretty similar to him athleticisim wise @ Iowa in Smith-Marsette having to claw and fight for attention in that offense. Lots of short stuff. Not trying to stretch the field. Bell's talents would be wasted as ONLY a kick returner.

Or he could see how everybody is jumping on Moore on the short stuff and that we aren't afraid to whip it downfield 5-7 times a game.

he's also behind 2 seniors.

It's not hard at all to see him have a role.
Plus people writing off Tario is foolish. Assuming he can get 100% healthy, he will be in the mix for sure. Remember last fall, he was the #1 back going into the season in front of Knox and Jones. He just can't stay healthy.

He’s been healthy all year. He played special teams

He has played almost every game.

Brohm said going into the season they were going to have to carefully manage him.

He went through multiple surgeries in the off-season, and he was nowhere near 100% going into the first game.

Goodness. Boiler B'dog's point remains . . . IF . . . ! . . . he can get back to 100% (which he apparently is not), he will be back in the mix.

He was one of the B1G's best RBs early last season.

You don’t put someone on special teams if you are managing their injuries.

They're not 'managing (his) injuries.'

They're 'managing' him, getting him back in action.

You're doing all you can to not understand he's not 100% ready to play RB. That doesn't mean they wrap him in bubble wrap for the season.

Goodness.

Of all the injuries we've had over the past 2 seasons, how many have occurred during regular play vs 'special teams?'

I haven't denied they aren't giving him carriers. Goodness, man! That's part of the point!

You're doing all you can to understand (admit) why!

You don’t manage a player you value by getting him snaps on special teams as a gunner. Especially as a 4th year junior. At that point, that’s where you stick players in the doghouse. How do you fail to recognize that.

So he went from the #1 back 15 months ago to not getting carries and we should just all assume nothing else has changed? What do you think changed? I’m genuinely curious.

You stick players in the doghouse on the sideline. Not on the field.

I think his effort recovering from injury impacted his snaps.

So if you assume it’s an attitude thing, do you not think that can change back?

What if he is healthy but lost his explosiveness thru the injuries. Seen that happen plenty of times.

You're all over the map. I don't have a clue what you're arguing.

The main point was clear. Fuller does not appear to be 100%. And, if . . . IF . . . ! . . . he gets back to 100%, he could make an impact.

Now you post something about him 'in the doghouse.'

Why does it have to be that conspiratorial? Why can't it be as simple as Brohm indicated ... at the beginning of the season? that he would see limited action, that they would manage his action, that they would be careful about how he would be used. (And, it's duly noted, you failed to respond to my question about how many injuries we've had on special teams vs. regular play.)

Goodness, brother. I don't know why we can't just take coaches at their word, especially when we have the luxury of two solid Senior runningbacks.

soooo, Purdue 85, how many kick returns did Moore run back against Iowa? I got tired of arguing with a person who couldn't and refused to answer a simple question.

it is obvious to everyone except you why Fuller isn't playing much at RB this year. if he wasn't 100% healthy, he wouldn't have been cleared to play football. PERIOD !!! Purdue is NOT Maryland or Illinois.

there is a simple reason Fuller is not playing more at RB. Brohm has found other alternatives, and they are working. At one time Anthrop was our leading receiver. Brohm found better alternatives, and they are working. Do you want Anthrop to return to being a starter too? is he injured as well?

it's time to stop arguing with everybody and start accepting reality.

This is too sweet.

So proud to be a Boilermaker living in this town.

CCoL fan thoughts on the signing...

As a U of L fan, I don't care to get into a pi$$ing match among Brohm fans from either school. All I know is it makes no sense for Wright to announce a commitment to Purdue a month before early NSD if the plan is for player and coach to switch to U of L.

Anything COULD happen. But why would those guys team up to mess over Purdue? That would tell me Brohm doesn't give two $hits about Purdue which lowers him on my list of quality coaches if true.

The kid obviously wants to play for Brohm. If Brohm's future was truly uncertain, he'd tell Wright that he will take his commitment at either school. And to wait a few weeks before committing.

Wright going public now tells me--if anything--Brohm ain't coming to U of L...

Bigs, you're making this too difficult.

A player can be released to play, yet not be 100%. Ever heard of a player, playing with a slight sprain? They're cleared to play, but that player ain't 100%, brother! (Uh, Rondale, a couple of weeks ago?)

Yes, Brohm has better options. But, he . . . HE! . . . was clear at the start of the season, when he . . . HE! . . . said they would manage Fuller's play this year.

Got an argument about that? Take it up with him!

Goodness. I think, in some ways, we're saying some of the same things. But you appear to be arguing just to be arguing.

This seems like a really artsy video.

Is the baby supposed to be him? Or am I overthinking it?

Who's the white guy?

This is his dad. They did an interview not too long ago on the louisville news together. Both did an impressive interview, very articulate and seemed to be approaching the recruiting process diligently.
