Apparently Greenie is moving on to a "new challenge" and will be hosting an ESPN TV show while Golic will partner with Trey Wingo on the radio (he stays with ESPN too). I was fond of Golic picking on the metro Greenie, they were a fun pair. And please, don't highjack the thread with politics (we've all had enough I think we can agree).

I've heard rumors of Golic's new partners and wasn't impressed. They tried to add a third person - a woman - and she just didn't fit the chemistry they created together. I believe Greenie will do well, but not as well when paired with Golic. I'm a Greenie fan, but also liked Golic and their interaction together.

Never understood why people wanted to listen to 45 minutes of advertising for 15 minutes of what may or may not be insightful information, but too each their own....

I didn't listen so much for insight or sports revelations as I did for entertainment. Same reason people listen to many sports talk personalities I would guess.

Will miss them for sure. That was the only ESPN radio/TV show I would listen to on regular basis.

I think they should keep it Mike and Mike.. bring on his son. They do a very good show together. Just have to make sure they have a guest every day and keep it spicy. I listen to Mike and Mike every morning. This is truly awful news. On the upside, hopefully it means no more Chris Carter. I can't listen to that man blather on. I will miss Greenie. He balanced out Golic for sure. It was nice having an avid fan and a former player giving their different perspective which was often different. The pair worked well.

I mostly dislike talk radio and TV. Argue and argue and never solve the topic. Wasted time. So, I don't care about these guys.

Listen every morning on the way to work. Golic Jr has been on quite a bit recently. Greenie could be tiresome with his rants. Funniest thing he ever said was when he was talking to Booger McFarland about food and the difference between fruits and veggies. Seemed city boy Greenie thought veggies grew on the ground and fruits in trees. Booger lost it when Greenie said watermelons grow in trees and was serious when he said it.

I stopped listening with both ears after the Giants beat NE the first Super Bowl. Realized then that everything had to revolve around New York Anything. I still remember these guys rambling on about the time Derek Jeter faked a Hit by Pitcher call. And, oh Heavens, what if this were A-Rod!!! The whole incident in Milwaukee, had it happened there, would be a non-story. And Golic always had to break out the Irish love. Between New York stories and ND...sure way to get me to turn it off.

Because I have to listen to something on the way to work...

I'm with you on the NY/ND with those two. Wasted more time talking about the Jets and ND when both teams sucked.

If Golic is going to continue on the air, I think he needs to be paired with someone other than his son. Two fat guys talking about how much they can eat gets old pretty quick.

Not real broken up by this news. Haven't listened to them in years because somewhere along the way it became brutally obvious that there were pre-production meetings that went something like this:
Greenberg: "I'm going to say that I think [athlete][whatever they did] is [right/wrong]."
ESPN exec: "Okay, Golic, you say the opposite."

I only listen rarely and normally only during FB or CFB Tourney time. But I thought it was already announced that his son was joining the team.
