Mid Year Enterers

I thought mid-year scholarships counted against this year's numbers not next and only the staff would know how many on this year's scholarships were one year scholarships which still can be offered and would change our next year's number we can offer? Am I wrong?

They count toward 2016 class but still have 85 scholarship limit.

That's why I mentioned the one year scholarships from this year if we offered those to anyone on the 2016 - 85 number!

It was announced several weeks ago that 6 players (Wilson, Cooper, etc. ) had left the team. And today Brohm is saying he has 6 early mid year entries. For paperwork and NCAA rules purposes, are these new mid year entries basically taking the scholarships of the players who left? Or did they leave but kept their scholarship for the remainder of the year ?

That would be my guess if they did not enroll for the second semester!

Mason, Tusha and West decommited. And Patterson being suspended for assault is also a possibility to leave.

So what happens when go to trimesters? Do these mid-year signees get two trimesters under their belts before they become "freshmen"?

He graduated. He may have just left the team.

6 or 7 players graduated in december, that frees up scholarships as well.

It was not reported that any player was kicked off the team. It was reported that the players mentioned above all left the team.
