What in the world is going on with MSU? They lost to Illinois today. I know some good players graduated last season but surely they had players to reload?

Something is obviously wrong at both schools right now, could be team chemistry, no real leaders on the field, lack of adjusting by the coaches with talent they have, missing on the recruits they have brought in....any or all of these could be the why. Unless it continues for a second year I see no reason a Head Coaching change will be made and just enjoy it while we can!!!

Same here. The implosion there is fun to watch.

Seemed to start with thoroughly getting outplayed at home against Wisconsin. Generally the last few years, Michigan State has consistently had:

• solid to very good QB play:
• tough lines on both sides of the ball
• active secondary
• solid tackling

Seems to be missing this year, and maybe that's also from lack of strong team leaders, but candidly, I haven't followed them that closely. Might be just "one of those years" for Dantonio. Penn State has stepped in to take their place in the division standings it looks like.n Not sold on how good the Nittany Lions are, but they could end up in a 3-way tie when the regular season is over.

As a Michigan resident, I love teasing my MSU friends I'm jealous.
