Other than a couple of lob passes, D was decent.

These announcers are clueless and whats with the camera angle on FT's. CBS almost as bad as ESPN....almost.

Think it is the rules that it doesn't count if it is MSU. I think it is the Izzo rule.
My heart is looking forward to the 2nd half. We seem to always make things tougher on ourselves. Maddening
Ivey has developed into a player that plays just a little beyond his capabilities. Getting shots in the lane blocked and his ill-advised deep 3s. Wish he'd back it down just one notch.
I agree with BBG that Izzo should get "T'd up" way more often, but we know that won't happen.
That said (or written I suppose), Sasha Stefanovic didn't need to direct his emotion right at the direction of the MSU player......that's where the taunting comes in. Gotta show more poise there even if you want to show emotion.

We aren't playing well but my goodness, "Let's mug them every play and make them refs call it" philosophy is in full force.
Halftime quickies:
1. Our seniors are soft, zero leadership. Again.
2. Sasha must have money against Purdue at this point. Only replay he gets is that stupid T he earned. Sit down.
2. Newman is playing incredibly hard on defense, just unlucky with shots not falling.
3. Edey needs to have one eye on the ball, other eye on who he is guarding. Gets lost in between many times.
4. Ivey leaving those freebees on the line at end was a tad brutal.

Actually I think our D is pretty good
This is actually the best D I’ve seen us play all year.
No doubt about that. But, if he'd play within his game this is a route.
Watch how much sasha gets pushed, grabbed bumped off the ball then you would understand the frustration
Forcing it a little too much I think. Purdue with five turnovers, which is not bad.

Sasha should get exactly 0 min this half. Same for IT. Newman needs to play as much as he can until he needs a break.
He and Morton had some really good defensive possessions. Might just have to grind this one out if the sots still won't fall consistently.
I hope Gainbridge is distributing complmentary barf bags to the crowd after that half.

His performance last night has literally sparked this team. I was at the game and you could just feel the energy in the building and with the team. Can’t remember last time I’ve seen something not only game changing, but possibly season changing.
Pushing beyond what you consider his limits is what make Ivey a lottery pick. The kid is a stud...if it takes him 5 misses to do something spectacular, I'll take it.
Better rebounding and better shooting in the second half and we play Iowa tomorrow
