...or so it appears, in a stark reversal of the shameful Biden/Blinken policy of appeasement.

It may well be an attempt to intimidate Iran into backing down on its nuclear program, but if that does not work, I expect Trump to proceed to do the civilized world a big favor.

The B-2 is the ONLY aircraft that can evade radar AND deliver the massive GBU-28 "bunker buster" bomb that is needed to take out Iran's underground uraninum enrichment sites. My hunch, that's what will happen.

Who’s the journalist that is monitoring the US strikes this time, Chris Wallace?
.
I'm thinking it's gonna more Tik-tok-ey this time! Maybe Theo Von (Barron T the cyber genius likes him), Tucksit Carlson (now THAT's a Trump-approved high-integrity journalist), or the guy from the hot wings challenge.

I am wondering how Israel would have attacked the Iran nuclear sites when it looked like that might happen, given that they don't have the B-2. Was the plan, following our election, always for the US to do it once we had a real president back in office starting Jan. 20?

Iran probably knows the day and the hour by now.
I agree that Iran is aware that an attack is being planned. This may be intentional. There will be "dummy attacks" with drones to squander Iran's defensive missiles and then after they screw the pooch, whammo!

The MOP is the biggest bunker buster we have.........and needs the B2 to deliver it. The GBU28 is only like 5000lbs. Other planes can carry it........and it's not likely to penetrate deep enough to hit underground sites.

Oops, my mistake, although I believe that no other stealth aircraft can carry the GBU28 other than the B2 and it is indeed a bunker buster.

We don't have any other stealth bombers. The B1 and B52 can certainly carry 5k. Hell I think an F15 can carry that.
It is a bunker buster but Iran planned ahead for some of this. The one enrichment site is inside a mountain, like NORAD. Not sure any known bomb can take it out.

The B1 isn't a stealth bomber. Looks like we're using B2s anyway.

But wouldn't repeated applications of the BB bomb (a possible new nickname for you) do the job?
According to this article, it is thought the MOP can take out both of Iran's enrichment sites that are deep underground. The B-2 can reportedly fly at 50,000 ft, so dropping from that height might penetrate deeply enough.

I didn't say it was. You said no other stealth aircraft could carry the GBU. I said we don't have any other stealth bombers other than the B2. I then stated the B1 and B52 can carry the GBU. That obviously means those two aren't stealth.

We currently only have one stealth bomber design in service. While technically true according to the the designation, the F35 is capable of carrying the GBU.

Quite possibly. I don't know. Attacking the same target over and over does make it easier for the enemy to defend it, even with the B2.

The US dropping bombs on Iran would definitely open up a new can of worms. Don't count on any help from our former allies.

I fully agree and I very much prefer that we don't open that can of worms. However, we cannot allow the Iranian wackos to develop nuclear weapons. It only takes 55 pounds of enriched uranium to make a nuclear bomb. That small quantity could easily be smuggled into the US and assembled into a bomb. You don't need a sophisticated delivery system. A large SUV is big enough.

Israel can be counted on.
