I can enjoy a well-earned win as much as anyone. What I can't enjoy is sloppy play, and today Smith was very sloppy with his passes. I'll give credit where it's due, but I'll retain the right to speak out when it's not whether you agree or not. I never made a statement that HP was better, or as good, or close to PU. I did have a fear of MNS because I've seen Purdue lose to lesser programs.
Smith has totally peaked right? He probably should go to the bench and have Waddell start over him now. He for sure is transferring now. He probably doesn’t look happy on the bench either, right?
You know, it's clear to most on here that your synapse doesn't cross your dendrite. Smith made bad plays today that could have hurt PU against a better team. And make up your mind...you bitch when I point out Colvin's mistakes, but I'm not supposed to point out when Smith makes them?
They are getting paid nice sums of money, so it's open to criticize them when they deserve it.

Players have bad games. And at this point, if we win, it doesn’t matter. He will clean it up no doubt. Dent from New Mexico also had 8 turnovers but they also still won as he impacted the game (much like Braden did) in other ways and found a way to overcome and win.
One game seasons from here on out and Purdue hasn’t even played well these last two games.

Not at all. What he and TKR need is rest when they've put the team up 20 or more with 3 minutes to go. Injuries happen anytime in a game, but many times when it's over and it's being played out.
I lost one of my best pitchers because he begged me to finish the game we were up in. I agreed and the very next hitter, he took a horrific line drive to the nether region and was out for two weeks.
The other team is pressing and you want to take our best and most experience ball handler out. I'm glad you don't coach Purdue.
No one got hurt at end of game, and that 1 minute and 30 sec rest won't mean much to them next game, forget it.
If you can't protect that lead with that amount of time, you deserve to lose. IMO.
A win by 1 point counts the same as one that is by double digits... you're getting twitchy over something immensely irrelevant.
That's your opinion but I agree a one-point win can be as good as 50. If Smith, Loyer, TKR, or any other player were to get injured in the last few minutes with that kind of lead, you'd be hell on wheels saying he should have substituted for him. And it's not that much of a reach because it does happen.
Ok but it’s a one and done tourney - you have to have your best on the floor to close it out - we don’t exactly have a ton of ball handlers as it is.

I couldn't care less if they cover or not. Only thing that matters is the W.
End of the day you want to win and advance. Did we play great outside the first 10 minutes - no we didn’t. But that game doesn’t matter anymore only the next one.
We can all complain - Smith didn’t play great, we were susceptible to pressure at the end, we missed some FTs - but I’m clearly slow because we won and now we play Houston. Seeet 16 - that game is over - all that matters now is how we play on Friday.
It's been so long since the game was played that McNeese isn't even a state anymore!
And the kid getting all the hype is going to NC State to be a manager with ole shady
