You mean like the Conference and being an All-American? All players have sub par games and when you literally have the ball in your hands the entire game it’s a bit tougher. No go burn your Fran jersey!
Do you ever get an original thought? Or do you just wait until the game is easily in hand to say the same things to people commenting on the teams? Or pull out the classic snowflake comments?
Were you impressed by the teams performance in the last five minutes?
I mean, we get it, some people love to drool over Painter. And the comments about him go a little overboard at times. But he’s not infallible either. He would even tell you that himself. It’s a message board, you’re going to have a lot of takes. It’s not meant to be a circle jerk.
I do, and Im happy, but people complaining about those upset with 19 or whatever turnovers it was are nothing but losers.

I noticed in my brief absence this forum found somebody new to name call. This forum used to be a place where you could find insight that the major media sports channels didn’t offer. Now all you do is beat your chest, argue and name call. The posts today are typical of the last 2 years.
It was a great game. Purdue made the sweet sixteen and also matched my prediction for the season. My annual goal is 20 wins, a top 20 ranking, top 5 in the BIG10. And a sweet 16. To many Purdue fans, that may seem like a lame prediction. But 80% of other fans would love to see their team reach those goals. And Purdue does it every year.!

People come in all kinds of shapes and opinions. Most opinions are discrete types of data…pieces of offense…pieces of defense but rarely inside a team view and the unequal loads players carry for a team that may or may not increase that load by play.

We have to be preseason top 5 next year. Winning at least two games in the tourney this year - basically without a Center - is money. Get our young guys - Cox and Harris - some more tourney experience, add a player or two, get DJ back, and win the whole damn thing next year!

Some people should just watch the game and not post during it. Maybe make notes so if we lose, come back and criticize. But reading the 2nd half thread, a lot of you think we A) shouldn't ever miss a shot, B) never turn the ball over, and C) pitch a shutout.

Why is it unreasonable to want to rest our star player with the game under control?

It's a tournament game. It's not "under control" like a mid-season game is.
I understand, and also understand the philosophy behind keeping Braden in all 40 minutes.
Just thought it would be beneficial to give him a rest to avoid potential injury and keep him fresh and rested, that’s all. (And also develop another potential ball handler; could come in handy later)

I don't disagree with you, it's just not the time to do it as some of us discussed earlier in the week in another thread. They needed to start doing that in November.

Tend to agree, at this point you gotta ride 'em to the finish and hope you make it without incident through the final furlongs.
We've also got the best "rest" situation in the whole current field. 1st game in the 2nd round, advancing to play Friday instead of Thursday in the regional, which is an hour away. Might even be the 2nd game Friday, who knows. Probably not if Kentucky wins.
